“Apparently... “NO” doesn’t mean “NO” in Israel.”

Of course it does.

I am curious what word they used, as Israelis are a precise people.

“Rape” typically means dark alley, tackle, forced sex.

“Date rape” means “acquantance rape” — and is just as illegal.

Probably a more meaningful question would have been “do you think forcing sex on someone you know should be illegal”?

Almost seems like a poll designed to give a false impresison.

The term “date rape” had not yet been invented when I was courting... and, I’m glad.

It’s not unprecedented for a girl to be saying YES, YES, YES in the evening... and, then remember it as NO, NO, NO in the morning....

just sayin...

Your explanation makes sense to me.
I can't believe the poll numbers, but in the context you described, I could believe that if some people are that 'precise' they could say that 'No, its not rape' (... but it is a similarly heinous and illegal crime - its just not their definition of the word 'rape').
They probably should have just asked if it is 'wrong'.
