Why America is growing tired of Palin
CNN ^ | 21 January 2011 | Gloria Borger

Washington (CNN) -- OK, you've got Palin fatigue. Not to worry. So does much of the country: The latest CNN poll shows that 56 percent of Americans view her unfavorably.

More damaging, though, is this: Sarah Palin's unfavorable rating among women has gone up 10 points. And 59 percent of those all-important independent voters don't like her -- and that's up a stunning 14 points in just a few months.

You might argue it's because of the debate surrounding the Tucson shootings -- specifically, Palin's tone-deaf response to the unfair charges that she was somehow responsible for a deranged shooter's state of mind. And that could well be part of it. But there's more: She's completely overstayed her welcome.

Washington (CNN)...

From that point on you know it is going to be nothing but leftist agenda driven spin, smear, and editorializing...

Hey CNN, I love Sarah Palin. I am however more than merely "fatigued" by your (and others') PDS. Why don't you (CNN) just die off quickly like the rest of the MSM?

If it wasn’t for hatred the left wouldn’t have anything to offer. She is the biggest threat to their power. Of course we can trust a Pravda poll about their opposition.

Pray for America

They are scared of her because she is pro-life and not scared of anyone. If she becomes potus then they believe she will surely get roe v wade oveturned and in their evil minds that would be the end of civilization as they know it.

My college friends, are very excited about her running. Maybe you’re hanging out at the wrong university.

I wont say they "hate" her or say the things that the idiot libs say, but I dont think her favorable rating is all that high.

Her values are solidly conservative, hence the liberals hate her and the wishy washy "conservatives" are afraid. I think however that her experience level is inadequate. The part that most bothers me is that any new executive will need a team with executive experience that have worked together for a while. What she needs to do is get some people with her values into a team and get them out there facing adversarial media. I don't care if they are business, academic, or just ordinary people. I'd like to see a well organized group, not just one person.

There's no talking to Palin supporters. You say anything negative about her, and you're an idiot who buys the MSM spin. You're a misogynist. You're a RINO. They are as irrational as the Fred Thompson people were a few years ago. In fact, they're mostly the same people.

It was the same deal with Christine O'Donnell. There was no reasoning with her fans. Just post some flattering photos and ignore reality. And when they fail, blame those who accurately described reality.

Silly me! What am I saying? She's Ronald Reagan! lol. There's a whole lot of people who have already seen enough of Palin and she will never close the sale. I doubt she'll be the nominee.

Palin is getting a lot of attention (and I believe the Libs are scared to death of her otherwise they would drop it).

I believe the opposite. She's the left's dream opponent. The only one who absolutely guarantees another Obama term.

I voted for the Shrub (twice) I voted for the Pineapple, I voted for the Maverick. I have voted for my last RINO. Everyone other than Palin seems to have RINO characteristics. Better shut up and get on board buckwheat.

I agree. I like her, but she’ll never get elected because the ceasless media attacks on her have taken their toll in the so called independents. The media work on the principle that if you throw enough sh!t at someone some of it will stick, and I have been watching politics for a long time and I can’t remember anyone being the recipient of so much media hatred and lies except maybe Barry Goldwater (first presidential election in which I voted)

I can't wait until Sarah is our president, and she will be, by a landslide.

I totally disagree. See post #70

Gee, if I had as many odious lies told about me on national television 24/7, I’d be happy to have “only” a 56% unfavorability rating.

If you look back to the 2008 elections, the indies didn’t go for Palin because they didn’t think she was ready to be VP.

When you think about Mccain, he is the type that indies and moderates like, but he was a poor candidate and conservatives despise him. He picked Palin and touted her as a conservative because his showing would have been abysmal without the base. She provided conservatives with cover for voting against Obama for someone they disliked immensely.

If he had picked someone other than Palin, he might have gotten more of the independent vote, but would have had a poor showing from the base of the party.

You idea she is like Mom probably has truth in it for some. They can’t picture Mom as president. She is a woman, a pretty woman. At that age many still think that the pretty ones are fun, but not to be taken seriously. That isn’t particularly fair, but that is the way it is. Maybe if she were older the perception would be different.

Obama won by speaking in private to his marxist elites. Speaking in code to his black base. Speaking as the great healer and uniter, almost Reaganesque, to everybody else.

Maybe she plans to do that. I say that because she will have to moderate her persona to get the moderates and indies. That may disappoint many conservatives except the die hard fans.

Or she can hope the great Obama makeover is a total bust. LOL

Everyone other than Palin seems to have RINO characteristics.

How do you know that once she picks a team they won't all be RINOs?

Actually, what Americans have grown tired of is what Bernie Goldberg calls a “slobbering” leftist media.

“Sarah is a bit overexposed, there is some risk of people getting too much of her. I hope she tones things down going into 2012 in terms of reality shows, media circuses and so on...”
__________

Media clowns are the ones putting on the circus, Liberty, not Sarah Palin. I hope she doesn’t “tone things down” like the spineless beta males who want to be president. She’s the only one of the likely GOP presidential nominees who has fought for me. That’s just one reason why I support her.
