WIND ADVISORY
in effect until Sunday, Jan 23, 6:00 PM

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 6 PM PST SUNDAY...

A WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 6 PM PST SUNDAY.

* TIMING: WINDS DEVELOPING LATE THIS EVENING WITH STRONGEST WINDS LATE TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...THEN GRADUALLY DIMINISHING SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

* WINDS: AREAS OF NORTHEAST WINDS 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 50 MPH BELOW THE CAJON PASS AND 55 MPH ALONG THE COASTAL SLOPES AND COASTAL FOOTHILLS OF THE SANTA ANA MOUNTAINS. ISOLATED GUSTS TO 65 MPH ARE POSSIBLE...MAINLY NEAR THE SANTA ANA MOUNTAINS.

* IMPACTS: THE WINDS WILL MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR MOTORISTS WITH HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. WATCH FOR BROKEN TREE LIMBS AND DOWNED POWER LINES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. WATCH FOR BROKEN TREE LIMBS AND DOWNED POWER LINES.

Oh jeez,
if it’s not rain, then it’s mud slides, or earthquakes, or overpaid state employees, or wind is blowing, or fire.
Seems like all they do in Kalipornia is complain.....

Thanks for the Ping, Ernest. I completely missed hearing the weather forecast today on the news. When they issue these wind warnings, they also should issue an allergy warning.

This afternoon I sent a pic to family back East. My deck thermometer shows 76 F (in the shade). Winds are calm and the sky is CAVU. Blue and sunny here in N. California.

You must be talking about that area of CA that is 400 plus miles south of here. LOL.

Sneaker waves on the Humboldt coast claimed another tourist yesterday but one was able to swim out of it which is truly a miracle ... 20 to 25 feet swells
