I know when I eat a bad meal like a salad I’m depressed all day that I didn’t go to a Red Robin and have a RR classic cheeseburger and their seasoned fries.

So can good eating! Step on that scale, watch it go up a few pounds—instant depression!

depression is not a “disease”

Call it a disorder if you must, but it is NOT a “disease”.

Doesn’t it seem that all these studies can go either way? Maybe the opposite is true: being depressed means you don’t give a damn about your body/health and so you just eat junk. That sounds pretty logical to me. What depressed person wants to spend the time to cook a healthy meal?

Depression, being found in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, is a disorder - gee, who’d of thunk???

So...does eating junk food make us depressed or does being as big as a house make us depressed? These guys draw bad conclusions. Eating pig fat once in a while will surely make you happy. Just can't live on it. Moderation, folks.

Depression is neither a disease nor a disorder. It is an economic condition brought on by putting trans-factual policies in place, i.e. Obamanomics.

"Bad eating can give you depression"

Or even worse, a case of the squirts.

I ate a cup of clam chowder at the airport restaurant in Rutland, VT in 1995 and was sick for a month.

Lost over 10 lbs. and have never eaten clam chowder since.

Just looking at them little oyster crackers things makes my bowels loose.

trans-fats (fats present in artificial form in industrially-produced pastries and fast food...)

Almost every fast food restaurant in America is virtually trans-fat free. The food police busted down their doors and they all obediently complied. The food police demanded nutrition information and they all complied. Yet, somehow I doubt that any of them are going to get any credit for making "healthy" food.

The government should not be involved, but trans fats are really bad for you.

Eating healthy is not that hard. Cutting out trans fats, too much sugar, etc. is not that big of a deal. Sugar will cause depression.
