Not exactly. 1972 was their first playoff season. That was the year of the Immaculate Reception. I was in an end zone seat behind the Steelers. The next week, we played the Dolphins in the AFC championship. It was 72 friggin’ degrees in Pittsburgh in late December!!! Unbelievable!! I went to the game in a short sleeve shirt. That was the Dolphins perfect season and they had to resort to a fake punt to beat us! 15 degree Pittsburgh weather and the 72’ Dolphins might have been 15-1 and the Steelers could have gone to the Super Bowl. Seems God was a Dolphins fan that year.
Then they started using steroids.
