The girl inside the service station told me ours would go up another 10 cents the next day. What are we gonna do?

I loved that map by the way. I will send that to some friends.

By the way, my oysters were out of this world. I probably won’t be buying anymore....I’ll be buying gas!

It’s time to start stocking up on supplies and food, folks.

I heard on FNC today, that we will now be charged for writing checks and for using our debit cards - very soon!

It will be more by Monday, Teenie.

There are other links that are more specific.

Type in your zip code in the upper right of the blue square, and then click ‘go’. It will show you all the stations in your area - and what gas costs there. (Under the map). It is updated every night.

OK - I’ll take a bug if it
#1-doesn’t bite,
#2-doesn’t stink,
#3-doesn’t crawl fast.

(If it means I won’t have to ‘work’ - on my Spring Cleaning!)

That also only shows just the one, but not the same price...I wonder if the reason is because the other one isn't a major brand.

I forgot about the Shell out on the highway...it shows as well. And then one in the next town.

I always loved ladybugs. They just are innocent to me. If I see one in the kitchen window seal (which I do in the spring) I tear off a small piece of paper towel and get it to crawl onto the towel and I carefully carry it outside to freedom.

I’m like you, I don’t like bugs that bite, stink or crawl fast, especially spiders. I’m scared to death of spiders and seems they get active in the spring. I hate if a wasp or similar flying insect gets into my house. It makes me crazy until they are caught or killed.

I just called the Kwik Serv and their gas is $3.69. That's a big difference. Looks like everyone will be coming to this end of town to get gas! lol

The guy that owns the Chevron place is an idiot anyway!

Turning in here, too, JC!

We are supposed to get a lot of snow starting at midnight here - (but you know how the meteorologist lies) - So, I’ll let y’all know in the morning if we got any at all. (I was all ready to turn the scanner on, and listen to all the havoc that two inches of snow causes, here on the high desert.)

But, Mr. Sandman is calling. See you all tomorrow!

Teacher Debbie Moon’s first graders were
discussing a picture of a family. One little boy in the picture
had a different hair color than the other members. One of her
students suggested that he was adopted.
A little girl said, ‘I know all about
Adoption, I was adopted..’

‘What does it mean to be adopted?’, asked
another child.

‘It means’, said the girl, ‘that you grew
in your mommy’s heart instead of her tummy!’

Checked the gas prices at my neighborhood Valero station today as we drove by and the posted price is listed at $3.65 9/10. Last week it was $3.47 9 When I filled up the Rendezvous.

Can y’all imagine what the price would be if drilling for oil was permitted in the good ol’ USA?

Had to drive up to Sacramento yesterday (friday) for a dr. appt. and now we need to fill-up again.

The Buick gets 19/23 (city/highway) but my 89 Mustang get no better than 15 mpg around town.

A Bouquet Of Praise
February 27, 2011

Corrie ten Boom (1892–1983) was a World War II concentration camp survivor and Christian who became a popular speaker around the world. Thousands attended her meetings as she talked about how she had learned to forgive her captors just as Christ had forgiven her sins.

After each meeting, people surrounded her and heaped accolades on her for her godly qualities and thanked her for encouraging them in their walk with the Lord. Corrie said she would then return to her hotel room, get down on her knees, and present those compliments in thanks to God. She called it giving God “a bouquet of praise.”

The Lord has given each of us gifts to use to minister to one another (1 Peter 4:10) so that “in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever” (v.11). We have nothing to offer others that we have not first received from the Lord (1 Cor. 4:7), so the glory does belong to Him.

To learn humility, perhaps we could follow Corrie’s example. If we receive a compliment for something we’ve said or done, let’s privately give a bouquet of praise to God for the glory He alone deserves.

Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,
Almighty, victorious—Thy great name we praise. —Smith

Praise is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul.

Read: 1 Peter 4:7-11

. . . that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. —1 Peter 4:11
