Or Vernor Vinge.
Today is a good day to die.
I didn't say for whom.

Don’t make me raise your Vinge with my Asimov. [blush] I almost said my Dick. Androids! Electric sheep! Oh heck.

Anybody remember the old movie “Colossus: The Forbin Project”? Still available on DVD.

Of course, you have to appreciate the series’s rationale:
Things that can go back in time: metal endoskeletons, computer chips, liquid metal, robots with rocket launcher arms, small nuclear devices.
Things that cannot: a gun, clothing.

Let me remind everyone that James Cameron's inspiration for the original "Terminator" was a near-fatal fever he suffered, during which he *saw* the T-800, and did a near-rational analysis of what he was seeing, and came to the conclusion that it was from the future.I did not know that. Weird indeed.
TheOldLady said, "May you live in interesting times. is a curse."
OldLady, I use the term in a slightly different context. When I say that to someone what I mean is, if it is SHTF time, I want you here on earth with me as an ally.
...and I mean it!
Of course, I'll be hard to find.

Ooooo! Cool. Do you have crossbows too? Talk about a silent but deadly non-bodily function. You'll have to send directions, for it looks as if you'd be impossible to find.
That's an interesting take on the phrase, and I like it better. We just have to be ready to explain it to everyone to whom we say it, LOL!, preferably before they punch us in the schnoz.

:’) Thanks again for making me feel special, TC.
“Colossus: The Forbin Project” was Cameron’s inspiration (such as it was) for the original “Terminator”. And maybe for this news.

“Colossus: The Forbin Project” was my favorite movie for a long time when I was in my early 20s.

From http://blastr.com/2010/02/35-things-you-probably-di.php
"The idea for Terminator came to him during a fever dream, when his subconscious came up with the image of a chrome torso emerging from an explosion, dragging itself across the floor with kitchen knives."
Sounds like the inspiration for Edward Scissorhands too.
Today is a good day to die.
I didn't say for whom.

Does anyone see an eerie similarity between the "all seeing eye" and red light cams that are multiplying like kudzu at intersections around the country?
Eric Braeden is still hanging tough. He's one of the main characters in "The Young and the Restless." Mrs. abb TIVO's that show religiously and watches it daily.

Nope, can’t say that I do. Same goes for the red LEDs poking out of the digital tuner box on my mom’s old TV, or on car charger for my cell phone. :’) Sorry.

Same goes for the red LEDs poking out of the digital tuner box on my moms old TV, or on car charger for my cell phone. That's what "THEY" told you those things were. I shield all my electronic devices with foil. I suggest you do the same, just to be safe...
