Julio Chavez is charged with emptying his revolver into Maurice Parker on May 18, 2007, in Flushing.
Chavez then hopped into a SUV, flashed gang signs and yelled in Spanish, former MS-13 gang member Jose Molina said in Brooklyn Federal Court.
" 'Yeah, homie, that's how you're supposed to do it,'" Chavez said, according to Molina. "'You see the blood coming out of his head?'"
Molina said Chavez then uttered, "The beast has eaten!"
Assistant U.S. Attorney Ali Kazemi asked the witness to translate the meaning of Chavez's rant.
"That he had just given a soul to the devil," Molina said.
Parker, 21, was not a Blood and was mistakenly targeted because he had on red sweatshirt.
Meanwhile, federal prosecutors announced Thursday they will seek the death penalty against MS-13 gang member Rene Mejia, who allegedly helped execute a Long Island

Sounds like he's looking at 'forever' in misery.
I’m quite aware of the highly dangerous and extra-Constitutional nature of my idea. And, I know it’s a snarky idea to offer on a pro-Constitutional forum just as an idea.
Nevertheless, there are plenty here who cringe at the idea of giving terrorists the “normal” array of Constitutional rights. And secondly, as a hard-assed practical matter, we are moving into an era (visible on a dozen fronts) where we, as a society, simply cannot afford to spend the monetary and personnel resources we once imagined we had. They just ain’t there.
Thus, we are going to have to make some choices, and they are excruciatingly difficult choices. One related one I am dealing with involves end-of-life care for my aging parents, ages 93 & 95. Now I don’t wish to divert into the whole “death panel” discussion in this post, and I strongly reject government diktat as to how much should be spent on them. But s**t, they are consuming massive, massive medical resources! They are lucky, they have the funds to pay for it and they have me to manage it. But a ton of money is being spent to extend their awfully not-fun lives.
Returning to the topic at hand, the gov’t actually does have authority to conduct assassinations. All they have to do is to decline to prosecute the perps. It works in banking and in voter intimidation cases, does it not?
I don’t think Conservatives would be targets, because they wouldn’t be wandering around on the streets with square feet of tattoos, even on their heads and faces flashing gang signs. I think, that a few minutes of video gunsight-footage documenting that type of behavior pre-targeting would qualify a piece of trash for a dusting. Maybe I’m being harsh.
Under Marshall Law, could we shoot any members of gans on-sight?
I’m sure this poor child has had a bad life. If only the U.S. taxpayer had written more checks to the dozens of government agencies instituted to feed, clothe, shelter, educate, try, and rehabilitate him, he could have become a university professor at one of our Leftist propaganda outlets.
Who said anything about the government... we’re talking us code 10.311 militia here.
All able bodied men over 17 and less than 40 years of age are in it like it or not.
Read it yourself.
“randomly take them out on the streets at sight”.
That’s the “mistake” the MS-13 gang just made with the guy in the red sweatshirt.
But it is a good suggestion, even if a fantasy scenario. Obviously Law Enforcement is not terribly interested in wiping out this gang. And to think, I thought this was a L.A. based problem. I did not know these guys were in Brooklyn.
Anyone ever notice how “Law and Order” forty years ago was such a big political platform for candidates high and low,
and how it’s TOTALLY disappeared from political “discourse”?
“To clean up these bacterial agents...”
....an ample supply of rope is needed.
Plus, convenient trees.
One of the best modern Westerns. Watched it twice this week.
That of course is a meaningless comparison. Money has nothing to do if we go after these people.
We have plenty of resources to go after them.
What we lack is the sense of decency as a culture to go after them.
There are too many Bill Ayers types keeping our hands tied.
The blood covered gangbangers are just a symptom; not the real issue.
Bring back real American manhood.
There was a day when punks like these would be cleaned out by average American males who simply did what common sense dictated.
“They killed the giggler, man!”
You're right. Much better is to have a year round season on these animals and license hunters to harvest them. Offer a bounty approximately 1/2 of what gang bangers cost society annually. Oh, and no limit. Just like varmints.
