The parents of teenage pop star Miley Cyrus have decided to call off their divorce.
During an interview with "The View" on Friday, Billy Ray Cyrus revealed that he has canceled the divorce with his wife of 17 years, Tish Cyrus. He also cleared up some misunderstandings about his recent controversial interview with GQ where he blamed Disney for his family's problems.
The 49-year-old said, "To set the record straight, I love Hannah Montana. I love Disney. That didn't tear my family apart. Now fame, fame it's a different animal. Fame, you have to be careful with that thing."
In response to his divorce, filed last October for "irreconcilable differences," Cyrus said "communication, I think, is one of the biggest problems we as human beings have in this whole world and I think that for the first time me and my entire family are really communicating with each other [better] than they have in quite some time."
He added, "And things are really the best they've ever been. A lot of people think I am divorced. I'm not divorced. I dropped the divorce."
He also said that he's working things out with his 18-year-old daughter. "I feel like I kind of got my Miley back in a way. I feel like we are the daddy and the daughter that we were before 'Hannah Montana' happened. Our communication, we have laughed a lot in the last couple of days."
The famous musician and professed Christian shared that he still regrets his parenting choices and that he plans on learning how to be a better father to his six children.
He admitted that he regretted doing the GQ interview. He said that when he was alone and under stress that was when GQ showed up at his house with a camera crew.
"I'm alone in Tennessee and I'm looking at lawyers and divorce papers and my family falling apart and all this stuff, and here's GQ knocking on the door with a film crew," he said. "I learned doing an interview when you're mad and scared is a lot like going to the grocery store when you're hungry. It's not a good idea. I just shouldn't have done it."
Cheaper to keep her.
He shouldn’t try to be so creative with the National Anthem.
Today’s was one of the worst I’ve heard at a NASCAR event.

Disney to Billy Ray: You better toe the line, or you’ll be living off those “Achy Breaky Heart” royalties again.
Disney is at at fault and they are destroying all their teen stars with fame.
If those two crazy kids can’t make it, what hope is there for the rest of us?
*SMIRK*
Stupid people to name their child Miley.
At least its not barack
That isn’t her real name. I believe its Hope. I’ll have to recheck on that, but, Miley is as much a stage name as Hannah Montana.
Ok, her real name is Destiny Hope Cyrus. I had the Hope right.
She got off lucky. She coulda been named after her father, Billy Ray.
I don’t care much for Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana. Funny, my 11 year old son made a remark that she likes to show off her @$$. That is pretty bad when kids know how trashy she is !
Cyrus was born on November 23, 1992 in Nashville, Tennessee to Leticia Jean “Tish” (née Finley) and country singer Billy Ray Cyrus.[4][5] Her parents named her Destiny Hope because they believed that she would accomplish great things with her life. They gave her the nickname “Smiley”, which was later shortened to “Miley”, because she smiled so often as a baby.[6] Cyrus suffers from a mild heart condition causing tachycardia which, though not dangerous, is often bothersome.[7]

No wonder she doesn't go by her real name.
Yep, Destiny Hope is pretty bad too, isn’t it?
I guess she didn’t tear his achy brakey heart.
Tish Cyrus.
Laz was already laying plans to hit it.
Our culture is at fault.
I’ll give him credit for trying to fix up his marriage. And I believe one could reveal too much when being interviewed under stress.
No kidding, that was painful to listen to. I thought he was going to sing it right but in the end he butchered it.
