He was on an internship program in the United States.Why in the world would the security department at a defense contractor working on US Government military contracts EVER approve a visit clearance for the son of a terrorist-sponsoring dictator of a country like Libya!Khamis, who runs Libya's special forces, quickly returned to his home country, where he has led a military unit that has brutally suppressed rebel forces.
The internship, which lasted a month, was sponsored by AECOM, a Los Angeles-based global engineering and design company that has been working with the Libyan regime to modernize the country's infrastructure. Khadis made stops in San Francisco, Colorado, Houston, Washington, and New York City, meeting with high-tech companies (including Google, Apple, and Intel), universities, and defense contractors like Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin. While in the Big Apple, Khamis even took in the Broadway show "Mamma Mia."
After Ghadaffi gave up his nuke program in 2003 he became, more or less, an ally. This cooperative alliance lasted until we decided he was an enemy again last month.
Let it be a lesson to all dictators, never ally with the US and never give up your nuke program.

we have drizzle. it took xssoph and i an hour and a half to get home after i picked her up from school. i have NO idea what the deal was, there were backups and road closures. i was wondering if one of the NUKULAR bombs had been discovered in arlington county such that they had everything closed off!
and I was upset that it took me 6 minutes to get to my dentist office......usually I can do it in 3. Hit every red light and some little old ladies inching along.
