People need to listen to their bodies. If your body feels good after eating something, then it is probably good for you. If you feel like crap after eating it, it probably is not good for you. I'm not talking how you feel while you are eating it but how you feel after you eat it.

Example: Fried clams and fries. Fried clams and fries taste pretty good as you are sucking them down, but a few minutes later, you get a bloated feeling. Not good. Therefore, stay away from fried clams and fries.

It's always a trade off.

Look at the Sodium, Cholesterol and Fats content on all processed meats before choosing. The chicken has more Cholesterol, less fat, and the dog has more sodium, and skin can be pulled off of the chicken. Hmmm. If you take a cholesterol reducing drug, as I do, the cholesterol becomes a smaller concern.

Seriously, the more I learn and get "into" safeguarding my health, the more I realize how badly I screwed myself with poor food choices.

Horseradish kind of sneaks up on you. It’s not hot like peppers just gives you a nice “aromatic zing” so to speak. That’s why I like it.

Enjoy it if you get it.

I imagine what’s coming from Japan will hurt us more, and sooner than eating chicken skin, rotisserie or otherwise.

Bad news. Very bad news.

“Hershey (HSY) said this week it’s going to raise prices by 9.7%, a move that many people expect competitors to follow. The entire industry is facing huge price increases for raw ingredients — the cost of sugar has more than doubled in the past year — and can no longer absorb the higher expenses.”

Thanks Immerito.
hot dogs, as well as pepperoni and deli meats, are relatively free of carcinogenic compounds, according to Kansas State University research. But it's a not-so-happy ending for bacon and rotisserie chicken -- especially chicken skin -- because both have higher levels of cancerous material.
