So JRR Tolkien walks into the HBO meeting and pitches his great new fantasy idea: "It's set long ago, and there's this magic ring, and some hobbits they're like organic dwarves and there's this wizard with a long white beard, and, and
" Four hours later he gets to the end of his summary. "Not bad," says one executive, "but what about the second season?"

Arthur looked like he would be more comfortable selecting fabrics than fighting.<
LOL!! Damn true. Arthur acts like a metrosexual instead of a king. I understand he’s supposed to be a kid but his brother Cain should have had the role of Arthur.
Either way, my GF likes it and the brunette who plays Morgana, well, she looks great naked who am I to complain?
I think I finally have a reason to be paying for HBO.
IMHO, Scandanavian women are the only ones that can remotely challenge Spanish women for hotness.
I will pay your FR membership IF it’s NOT on bit torrent available for download. Ever heard of EZTV?
I;m with you..if you could pick your channels, i would have kept paying but HBO will be showing the anti-Palin mockumentary next year so I won’t pay for them. I even watched the NBA playoffs awhile ago on my laptop and yesterday on streaming web so who needs cable?
I think they borrowed this idea from Starz network. Starz had Spartacus last year and that was excellent. They are now doing one with King Arthur, lots of sex and violence, but it’s great to see a mature version of the legend/myth.
I’ve been watching a ton of shows online on YouTube & Netflix, so I haven’t missed the cable at all. I’ll chack out EZTV. Thanks!!
Heard about this, but I prefer to read the books rather than watch movies. These books are the anti-Tolkien, with no good and evil split - the Starks are generally right-minded but by no means lily white, and they all get bumped off except for the younger children very early in the series, so don’t get too attached to Eddard and Catelyn (though Catelyn comes back as a zombie on down the road). Virtually every character is deeply flawed, and many are just plain sick. The prostitute-loving dwarf Tyrion and the bastard Stark (Jon Snow) are about the most “heroic” characters left after Robb Stark gets whacked at his own wedding (though Jaime Lannister is much easier to get along with once he gets his sword hand lopped off and gives up boinking his sister).
GRRM is badly late in finishing the next book - wonder why?
Teasing, sorta. I read up a little on the series and I kinda knew a ton of the characters die and I am glad Jon Snow and Tyrion is still kicking in the series...for now.
