A lot of the elements are true, but I hate see it falsely attributed to Williams, who is a much better writer than that. Right now, there are no Republican candidates available to beat Obama in 2012. Let’s hope some step up and improve their standing soon.

Wouldn’t matter. Just look at threads at this site alone. Romney is a RINO; Trump is a clown; Palin is unelectable... fans of one can’t find a good word to say about the others. So how do we come together by 11/12 to support the eventual nominee against an unopposed candidate in a united Dem party? Conservatives and Republicans will assure their own defeat against a very vulnerable incumbent.

That's what the debates are for. All these argruments are too early. We can't come to any intelligent conclusions yet.

This article immediately raised a red flag with me because it seems so out of character. Williams usually comments on economics, education, law and social issues. Electoral politics is out of his ballpark.
My point is that on these threads, fans of any potential candidate (none having yet so much as announced), only attack the others without setting out a case for their own candidate. The snipes are already past boring and, again, not ONE has yet announced. Whoever emerges from the primaries as the nominee is going to be awfully bloodied up, while The One is unscathed. November ‘12 is a long way off.
Protocol is that when one steps on himself with a BS post like this, he mans up with a correction/apology.
