I’ve been wondering the same thing.
Maybe they feel one unit is more Tier-1 than the other?
Because the SEALs were at Bagram?
As far as I’m concerned, we don’t need to know about the details of the special forces. No disrespect of course.
From what I’ve observed and read, it seems that the SEALs are the preferred unit of choice for in-and-out snatch-and-grabs like the other day, whereas Delta seems to be the unit of choice for more protracted engagements, like stalking, recon, and working with indigenous persons.

Admiral Mullen?
SEAL TEAM 6 mission or specialty is Anti-Terror. They were founded by Richard Marcinko who was also their first Commanding Officer.

Go Navy! ;-)

Did the Nightstalkers supply the ride?
If so it was “joint”.
Used to be Delta was the snatch and grab guys.
serving dinner to Valerie Jarret?
Seal Team 6 next mission should be CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, NYT, LA Times...etc.
that thought crossed my mind.
Delta got Zarqawi... Maybe they have first pick for Ayman Zawahiri.
