Vanity: Is Trump gone for good?

Posted on 05/09/2011 6:58:50 AM PDT by Maverick68

A simple question: Do you think Trump has quit or is he waiting for obumble to finish his "victory lap" before returning to throw bombs?

Personally, I believe he's doing the smart thing and laying low for a week or so....

We heard from Trump this morning on Fox and Friends in a phone interview.

Yes, his tone at this point has changed a litle. He praised Obama for the raid and his concentration was on Pakistan.

He said no more money to Pakisan until they fully cooperate with the US. HE WENT ON TO SAY THAT PAKISTAN MUST GIVE UP THEIR NUCLEAR WEAPONS. THIS IS A NEW ARGUMENT BUT A WORTHWHILE ONE.

He was not asked any questions about the BC. He did say that the fact that he was the total show at the Press dinner showed him that the WH was taking him very seriously.

Not at all right. Trump will counter direct attacks on him with harder hits back. He makes it hurt and sets the level at how hard they hit him first. He is nobody to be underestimated. That is why he is where he is.

“Personally, I believe he’s doing the smart thing and laying low for a week or so”

Is this like how he smartly won the birther issue by wasting everyone’s time in forcing Obama to prove it was a non-issue? What a wily fox that Trump is. Everything he does, he wins. Even when he very clearly loses.

“to show his hand”

Yes, to show his winning hand. Since when was it good gameplay to lose a hand?

“If this birth certificate is indeed altered as many suggest, he’s forced a felony!”

I’m sure that’ll be proven, and Obama impeached and thrown in jail. Also, a flotilla of clouds will carry you off to Shangra-la, where you’ll live out your days in perfect contentment.

Interesting. Means no more money to Pakistan—and I’m okay with that.

“He was not asked any questions about the BC”

Like he needs prompting to blahblahblah about whatever he wants. Him not talking about it means Obama won, which means it was a waste of time all along.

I see that Soros Axelrod media and minions have reimplemented the AstroTurf here to post over and over the GOP can not win, it’s over, don’t bother !

Do they never figure out that this does not affect us the same way it does them?

When told, "It's over, you can't win," they believe it and fold, because to them, words are gods--words must be believed, the dogma being "If it's in print and on TV, it's true--especially if we say it!" When I (and, I suspect, most on FR) hear, "You can't win," that's when it becomes the most imperative to get out and work for your candidate and vote.

At least, I hope that's the general sentiment.

I think the most dangerously effective thing they could tell us is, "Well, we ain't got a chance against you guys this year--may as well pack it in and concede the White House!"

But I'd still get out and vote. I don't want just a victory, but a landslide of terraforming proportions.

Trump is just biden his time. Remember, he wrote "The Art of the Deal". Timing plays a big part in the "Art".

He's playing the media right now. Pretty soon we'll be seeing headlines deperately reading "Is Trump Gone For Good?"

Oh, wait a minute.......

I would be happy to see Trump gone. The last thing we need is another demagogue beating the populist drum, and laughingly calling himself a Republican, running for president.

You seem to have a real hate for Trump. He hasn't done anything but stand up to Zero & that is a good thing. About time someone does, our weak pubbies in Washington sure won't!

If he "wasted your time" then you might have a beef, but you say he "wasted everyones time" well I still continued to go about what I do daily, his fight with Zero didn't waste my time, maybe his, but surely not "everyones"!!!

I think Trump has done a great service for this country.
He has shown that you have to play hardball with the facists in the White House and hopefully, a GOP candidate will “get it”.
I don’t want Trump as the GOP nominee, but would vote for him in a heartbeat over the obamachrist....

I have to agree. It does not make sense that a guy as smart as Donald Trump would squander his reputation for no good reason. If he didn’t intend to really run for President I doubt he would have made such a big splash. I could be really wrong but I think Donald is laying low for a few weeks til the last episode of Apprentice airs and then I think he will announce he is running. Lets face it the GOP field at this point is not exactly overwhelming.
