If it saves 1 life, I am for it.

Are you? How about this -- Obamacare requirement (mandate) for males over 50 to have a biennial colonoscopy or lose all related treatment coverage. There is the possibility it would save one life. Are you for it?

That's not what the story was about but since you asked...

If you read Obamacare, which most of the House and Senate did not do before they voted for it, cancer treatment for a man my dad's age would most likely be withheld as part of rationing.

The Canadians I met at MD Anderson came down to the States because the wait for "free health care" in Canada is just too long. Under Obamacare, that is what we could look forward to seeing.

Just recently underwent this procedure. Got a clean bill of health. Doc said to “come back in ten years”. I’m in my mid 60s so I may need to do this one more time. I cannot see the need to do this procedure every two years unless the first screening or a particular colonoscopy indicates the need for it.

I find it very odd that the Obama health “plan” says prostate cancer screenings do NOT need to be done as often as current protocols suggests (to save monies presumably), yet these same folks do want colon screens every two years? Maybe it isn’t so odd since they do seem to have severe anal fixations.
