So, they're going to the Jockatorium to protest Jockolotry?

This one I can almost understand.

I resent tax money being used to benefit team owners: separation of church & state should apply.

Citizens usually VOTE to approve bonds to help finance large sports facilities in their communities. The benefits of such operations do not only enrich the team owners.

The AA Center in Dallas, where the Mavericks and Stars play, has brought in millions of dollars to the city. Rangers Stadium in Arlington and Lone Star Park (horse racing) in Grand Prairie have also brought in millions. I believe the taxpayer approved bonds have probably been repaid from the revenues.

Cowboys Stadium was funded by Jerry Jones and Arlington only funded road improvements, etc. The facility is the site of numerous events other than Cowboy games and a large number of restaurants, hotels, etc., have built in the area. Arlington taxpayers have benefited from all of the additional tax revenue.
