Nazi-era Technology Embraced by Republicans in U.S. Congress in the Name of National Energy Security

Twentieth-century American military history has two iconic dates - 7 December 1941, the attack on Pearl Harbor and 6 June 1944, D-Day, when the liberation of Europe began.

The subsequent vicious Allied fight from Normandy to Germany saw the Nazis largely fueled by a technology that is now being promoted by the Republican Congressional leadership, in collusion with its munificent fiscal campaign energy supporters, as a way to lessen U.S. dependence on energy imports.

At issue is the Fishcher-Tropsch coal liquefaction process, developed by energy-poor Germany in the 1920s and expanded by the Nazi regime. Bent on dominating Europe, Hitler’s war machine suffered from increasing fuel shortages, first in September 1939 when Britain’s Royal Navy clamped a naval blockade on the Baltic, exacerbated in June1941 when the invasion of the USSR ended Soviet energy imports, leaving Germany largely dependent on Romania’s Ploesti oilfields after the failure of Army Group south to capture the Caucasus and Azerbaijan’s rich Caspian resources. FT production became increasingly critical to fueling Hitler’s war machine from then onwards, given Germany’s immense coal reserves.

By 1944, Germany was producing 124,000 barrels of synthetic fuels daily at 25 FT plants. FT was subsequently commercialized by South Africa’s apartheid regime, beginning in the 1950s through South Africa's state energy company Suid Afrikaanse Steenkool en Olie (SASOL), founded in 1950, now a private company and the world’s leading proponent of FT. In the early 1980s, as UN sanctions against South Africa began to take effect, two large coal to liquid (CTL) SASOL production facilities were commissioned and now form the single largest and most profitable asset in SASOL's global portfolio. Hey Bananaman22. What do you think about this or anything? You have started a lot of threads over the year you are here but never comment on any of them. Do you believe in this radical propaganda? Why be here at FR if you don't have an opinion on any of it?

I probably shouldn’t confess this, but I use some “Communist era” technology.

Nazi-era Fashions Embraced by Democrats in Congress

As Congressman Steny Hoyer walked into Congress today, one couldn't help but notice that he was dressed in a pair of dress pants with a matching suit jacket. A button down shirt and a windsor-knotted tie went well with a pair of wingtip dress shoes.

Such fashion is widely seen in photos and films of top ranked Nazi Party officials in the 30's and 40's, including Adolf Hitler.

Combed hair and brushed teeth also suggest that Congressman Hoyer also follows some of the hygiene regime of top leaders of Germany's Nazis.

And now adopted by others who refuse to accept the big oil BS? 1920’s = Nazis? They had no say until 1931. But we as a nation adopted tape recorders, rocket research, speed of sound design for aircraft from the Nazi’s, and they were also ahead of us with TVs. They must have had a good technical education program, did we adopt that? We can’t say they were German inventions, we must call them Nazi inventions if they were made 1931-45.

"In short: Republicans are Nazis."

Nah, just our policies, beliefs, attitudes, behavior and demeanor... We want to enslave children, destroy the economy, kill old folks and club baby seals...

It's pretty hard to have a reasonable conversation with a Democrat nowadays... Almost all that they seem to understand is ad-hominum attacks. They wouldn't know a real Republican if they saw one, they only understand caracatures. I guess that's what happens when you get your news from the Daily Show.

Why don't we just abandon jet planes while we're at it? That too was "Nazi technology".

I just find it odd that all year not one of these issues has given him the inspiration to say anything. This one especially. After reading this, I almost thought it was a troll rolling through posting lib crap because of his lack of comment and no Barf alert. That is why I went into his posting history and saw how strange it is.

For eons here I have posted my version of what should be our energy policy.

One of the cornerstones is to produce all "JP" fuels for the Military and Domestic Aircraft Gen-Av and up via Coal/Fisher Tropsch so that these two sectors always have a domestic supply.

I do not know what impact it would have on refineries, but at a minimum it frees up diesel type fuels they produce for other uses.

But again MSNBC discussed it once and brought in the Nazi angle not to have a legitimate decision as to how to move towards energy self sufficiency here in the U.S. via domestic sources, but to kill it via political correctness.

G_d help us all from these Pressitute mutants that IMHO never passed a science course, met an engineer, took an accounting course, read Popular Science or have an ounce of common sense let alone a vision for a strong America.

One more thing...

I have just read the article, Oh vey....

Please go over to "Green Car Congress" and search and read the articles on how the process over the last few years has had great advances (one caviat, they may or may not be ready for integration in the process ) to make the process cleaner.

But the article did not mention that...

Gee....what a co-wink-a-dink.....
