Wow, this is ridiculous. The NCAA is a monster.

You can bet that if it was an OU infraction, USC would have been awarded the championship. Pukes.

Based on current NCAA rules and their flexibility in interpreting them, every NCAA title from every school for the last 25 years should be stripped.

And, as a Pepperdine graduate, I have a built-in animosity against USC. And as the son of a UCLA graduate, even more so.

Laugh now, but wait until someone has an ax to grind against your alma mater.

This just means USC couldn’t meet the individual NCAA officials’ price.

Bush's fault?

LOL. AND, YES! For once it truly is.

I see what you did there. Good stuff. Wouldn’t you know it, the only College championship game I’ve ever seen and now it doesn’t count.

And who really cares seven years after the fact?

No BCS champion in 2004, and no Heisman Trophy winner in 2005 . . . are we going to learn someday that those NCAA football seasons never took place?

Tennessee is elated that Lane Kiffin is coaching at USC. The recruits that went with Kiffin and Orgeron are getting their just desserts also.

...all those kids who played their hearts out and did nothing wrong. The NCAA is a draconian star chamber that accuses, convicts and punishes people without even de minimis due process or evidentiary standards. Every big school should just pull out and tell them to go screw themselves; their dishonesty makes what some players do look like child's play.

Even though the University of Texas is liberal (it’s in the People’s Republic of Austin) and Vince Young is a petulant thug, the Longhorn victory over the Trojans in 2005’s Rose Bowl was a sweet moment for those of us in the Lone Star State. I think even Aggies enjoyed seeing the arrogant squad and coach from USC getting beat.

It doesn’t matter. The bogus BCS stripped a mythical title from one of their cartel schools. USC will be back at in a few years, and some other BCS school will get spanked in the same way for the same thing. In the end they all still make the money, and the so called non-AQ schools will still be sucking hind tit.

You can’t play with ineligible players. It sort of makes the playing field uneven.

I keep hearing OSU fans talk about what a “good man” Jim Tressel is. Sorry, but any coach that stares across the sidelines at REAL “good men” like Joe Paterno and Pat Fitzgerald, KNOWING that he is cheating them isn’t a good man.

Actually, that makes him a shortcut taking pussy. Just like Petey was at SC.

My tagline says it best.

Yep. Anyone smiling at this is just feeding the crocodile; hoping it will eat him last.

The NCAA did not strip USC of it’s 2004 title. The BCS did.
I do feel bad for the kids who were not involved in this mess, they got screwed. The real villans in this are the coaches, the AD, and Reggie Bush. Pete Caroll is now making a ton of money in the NFL along with Reggie Bush. This hasn’t hurt them. Bush had his Heisman Trophy stripped, big deal. He should have to pay USC back all costs they incurred putting his cheating ass through school. Pete Caroll should be banned from coaching at any college for life.

"...the Longhorn victory over the Trojans in 2005’s Rose Bowl was a sweet moment for those of us in the Lone Star State."

And for a lot of us outside Texas. For me, I loved seeing ESPN eat some crow after a month plus of USC worship in their "analysis" leading up to the game.

That thought NEVER crossed my mind when I posted this story.
