Flood in North Dakota

Click on the link to get picture of a young couples home floating down the Missouri River a few miles north of Bismarck, North Dakota, my old home town. I have two friends who live on each side of this home and they are next. When the hurricanes and natural disasters happen in Liberal States, they sit on their roofs and cry for help and want the Government to come save them and get everything for free. When it happens in a Red State such as North Dakota, the citizens work together and depend on themselves and not the Governemnt. If this tradgedy was in a Blue State, it would be on the news 24/7 and all your tax money would be flowing there. But I bet you have not even heard about how bad this is up there.

Thanks Kid, appreciate the link.

I’d heard about the bad-news flood update.

My siblings still live west of Minot and they’ve been keeping me up to speed.

They pointed out that even with the 10,000+ evacuated yesterday the temporary shelters today were lodging only a couple hundred people.

That’s North Dakota. Neighbors helping neighbors and familes tending to their own.

Prayers go out to all of them, and to you, if you are in the area.

My brother is displaced out of his home in Bismarck. He and his wife are staying with in-laws.

Yes, Bismarck has been hit hard too.

We have friends there who had to leave their flooded homes after days of sandbagging, fighting, hoping.

I hope your brother and family are doing all right.
