The article reads like it was written by a 10 year old. Are rthere editors anymore? Due to budget constraints all the writers were fired. Editors do the writing now. Since the editors are now overworked some slopping writing sneaks through.

Of course! Not in the MSM, mind you; however, we have plenty of volunteer editors right here on Free Republic!
Incidentally, you mis-spelled the word “there”. And “any more” is not one word, it’s two.

Editors? Nah, they’re just deadwood. There is an upside, though. Poorly written articles make GREAT examples for teaching grammar and spelling. Yesterday I found an article, written by a TV news anchor to boot, that was a beautiful example of using both past and present tenses in one sentence to describe the same event. The kids loved it.
