How Sarah Palin can beat Mitt Romney head to head.

1) She theoretically appeals to a bigger slice of the GOP (conservatives) than Romney does (moderates-centrists)

2) Her strength is in the red states while Romney's is in the blue states

3) She is a superstar; he is not

4) She draws bigger crowds than he does on the campaign trail

5) She is a far more eloquent speaker than he is

6) She does retail politicking better than Romney

7) She is younger and has far more energy than 64 year old Romney

8) She apparently is much more Internet and social networking savvy than Mitt is.

9) Palin will not be hesitant to go for Romney's throat. Romney may be too much of a gentleman in public to do so. Palin is a street fighter; Romney is a running back that is afraid of getting hit.

10) Palin's message is one of restoration; Romney's is one of fixing. The former stirs emotions and the latter is founded on logic. And in my experience in sales emotion always defeats logic.

It has become clear to me she is not running. She isn’t stupid

Why would she preside over a nation that’a already gone over the edge

Not even Sarah Palin can fix our problem

Romney will get all of the Democrat crossover votes in the primaries and there will be a lot of them unless the kenyan gets a serious challenge in his own party that survives past the first three primaries. The Controlled Press thinks it can put Romney over handily by outvoting his opposition with Democrats in the primaries. That gave us McCain latest time and the push will be far stronger this time. I expect a large record for apparent Republican turnout.

Mitt is snake bit. He lost badly to Rinos McCain & Huckabee in 2008 when he was a stronger candidate who didn’t have the albatross of RomneyCare around his neck (until ObamaCare passed, Mitt hailed his RomneyCare as his crowning achievement).

Now Mitt is going up against the most dynamic candidate either party has had in years. Yes, folks - Sarah is running in 2012. She’s not just visiting early voting states like New Hampshire and soon Iowa just for the heck of it.

No contest between Sarah & Mitt for the Tea Party, true conservatives and libertarians votes.

Amazing. It’s 2011. Barack Obama is president. And yet there are people who still do not understand how much stupid is out there.
Romney the sponge will mop it up.

Palin will probably get most of the Dem crossover votes. The Dems have been brainwashed into thinking she can’t win so it’s likely they will vote for her. A good number will probably go to Ron Paul too.

You ae assuming the Democrats will vote their own minds. They won’t. They will know who to vote for. McCain was the one that the Democrats claimed the most dangerous and they all voted for him because they knew that he would be a nothing and even if he did win it would not be a great loss for the Democrats. He would push their agenda. It is the same with Romney but more so. Any thinking (even a little) person knows that Romney is a loser against the kenyan because he wants the same things and Obama is the real deal, a wolf in wolf’s clothing. Romney is Obama Lite and will repel conservative and not-so-conservatives and Democrats know this. That is why they scream against Palin. The Democrats are savvy enough- they have been doing this for a long time- to know that Palin and perhaps Perry are the greatest dangers. They know the meaning of the hysteria and the screams from the left/press that Palin can’t win. Romney is the choice of the Democrats for the Republican nomination.

She can beat him simply by being on the ballot. Nobody wants to vote for Mitt: no Republicans, because he’s a liberal and a bore; and no Democrats, even though they’re currently promoting him.

“Sarah says what She means, and means what She says.”

I think that’s what even scares the “Republicans” in Congress.

As true today as it was in 1967:

“Too much talk, and not enough action
Do you know anybody gettin’ satisfaction?
Everbody wonders ‘bout the crowd’s reaction.”

But here is the point. I know there is much venom shown on this forum against Mitt. We need Mitt.

I wholeheartedly disagree. If for no other reason than, at best, Romney's dishonest and willfully ignorant.

Romney has held every positions on every topic than I can count, and often shows a frightening level of dishonesty on certain issues. He shows a frightening level of ignorance, to be charitable, on others.

Like saying that he's always been pro-life. That is a lie.

Or saying that he's been a life-long hunter. As if it were true (it isn't) or as if that is what the 2nd Amendment is about (it isn't).

And by saying that he wants to get rid of weapons of which can be used against the police. No one is advocating hurting a police officer, but all guns are lethal, so he's advocating banning pretty much all of them. Except when he says he isn't. That is a lie and/or misdirection, and/or an inability to think or speak clearly. Or all four. Take your pick.

Please tell me why we "need" that? I'm not asking for a list of what you feel his strengths are. I am asking exactly why we need a liar and/or someone who practices misdirection and spouts ignorance to lead us?

We don’t need nor do we want him at the helm. He’d be a good cabinet member.

Mitt only lied to get elected. He continued to lie in hopes of getting elected to higher office. Once he is president, he will stop lying and rule, err, lead as a true conservative, but maybe only after he is elected to a second term.

No, you did not miss it. She has not announced.

Oh, okay. Why is this thread even here, then?

"He believes what you want him to believe. Unless you'd rather he not. Then he won't. Unless something better comes along. In which case, he'll believe that. Unless you'd prefer that he wear a miniskirt and tap dance, because he's all good with that, too. Mitt Romney is like a chameleon with fabulous hair. "

That pretty much sums it up
