A Mexico win would serve as convincing evidence that Mexico is once again the unquestioned leader in the region. It would also provide a confidence boost for a talented young team that could wind up ruling CONCACAF for the foreseeable future.
And a United States win? If the US team can knock off Mexicos Golden Boys, it would give the Americans their third Gold Cup title in four tournaments and continued bragging rights in a series they've dominated for the better part of a decade. It would also give the current US team a head start on Mexico as both teams transition into a new era, an era that should feature an even stronger and more competitive USA-Mexico rivalry.

Completely unacceptable...an absolute disgrace to blow a 2-0 lead. Bradley has been just getting by for years....time to make the change before World Cup qualifying starts.
I don’t doubt it. I can’t imagine it helped our side though.
Yeah, that’s well spotted. It did just look like to me they wanted to be seen doing something productive until they could turn the ball over, some of the time, instead of coming through with aggressive ways to get past and through to the goal.
What’s your English team? I don’t follow it that closely though sometimes I pay attention to Scottish Premier League.
The only good news is that it looks like Freddy Adu is finally ready for prime time.
I’m a Manchester United supporter (English Premier League). I’ve been watching Hernandez since he was in Mexico. When United acquired him, I took a lot of stick from my fellow supporters for predicting he’d be one of their best acquisitions in years. I remind them of that frequently. He’s high energy and has an instinctive knowledge of position. Even when he doesn’t score, the threat he poses creates opportunities for others.
I saw almost no play on the wings for us today.
Maybe we’ll able to call him Freddie Can Du some day.
And the U17s just lost....to Uzbekistan; YIKES!
Would sound much less bad if you were to say USA just lost to the group winner.
Oh yeah, they’re a real power house, what was I thinking...
Well, its better than watching men play a little girl’s game from England, 7ft beanpoles or 300 pound men play a game while real men play rugby.
