Casey Anthony Live Trial Thread, Day 45: CLOSIING ARGUMENTS (7/03/11)
July 3, 2011 | truthkeeper

Posted on 07/03/2011 6:05:20 AM PDT by truthkeeper

Good Morning to all. Closing Arguments are today.

I apologize in advance if you were either left off today's ping list or included in error. I am not at home and forgot to forward my pinglist to my friend's house, so I've had to check some older threads and reconstruct as many names as possible. If I missed you I'm sorry.

I probably won't be able to post much on this thread, but after I am home I will keep my ear to the television/radio for the jury decision, and will ping again when I hear so we can have a discussion thread.

Let me know if you want on or off the ping list.

I have no doubt that Casey killed Caylee. If I were on that jury, I’d convict. One does not need to know the manner of death. It has been proven the child is dead. She is not missing. The ME even said homicide.

Sure she did. So did George and Cindy. But there is no actual evidence of Murder. None Zero Zip. She might have murdered Caylee or Caylee might have drowned or something else might have caused the death. Might have or maybe means there is reasonable doubt as to the death. I am interested to see if the Jury will convict based on her lying.
It will be reversed on appeal anyway.

I’d have no issue convicting either. She is guilty.

I have a problem with a “premditated charge”.

How to explain the search for "neck breaking" prior to the child going missing? That's my sticking point on premeditation.

How sad. A prosecuter makes a good arguement, you get hung.

Our court system is not based on truth, you know - it is based on convincing the jury. Anyway you can.

You willing to kill someone over a good arguement?

Have you been following the trial or just listeneing to Ashton today? I’ve been watching this case since the little girl went missing and I thought it was a kidnapping case.

That’s the part of the defense that has never made a bit of sense. Why would they take what they claimed was an accident and make it look like a murder?

I would go for life without parole- I have mixed feelings about the death penalty.

How do you know the grandmother didn’t kill the kid? Or the meter reader? Reasonable doubt abounds.

from the get-go I figured she drugged her as a babysitter than went to party......she either overdosed her or left her during an extended hangover and she died......whatever...she did it. she is NOW crying in the courtroom as she listens to her case fall apart around her.

We are not the jury. The jury has no idea what we are saying. We have no control over that courtroom so anything we say here has no impact on the case. It is all just opinion. So why get all upset about it? I’m sure the jury will come to a reasonable decision.

George Anthony not sitting with his wife? What’s that about?

I agree with you. She probably did it several times and then did it one time too many. I wouldn’t call that an accident, wwho does that to a child? I guess we know the answer to that.

How is sentencing done in that neck of the woods? The jury decides? Recommends to the judge? The judge decides?
