Hi, I don't think I have ever posted my own topic so hopefully this comes out ok and is in the right place. I am confused on the difference between a topic and a keyword, sorry.
There is something disturbing at the wikipedia right now. A user some here might have heard of, a David Shankbone (I know. ick), a noted homosexual activist and pornographic pornographer, has created a wikiarticle on Michele Bachmann's husband Marcus found here...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcus_Bachmann
the problem is that the article has not been created because the wikipedia people think he is worthy of recognition - what they call "notability" for their rules - but instead it is like another arm of the democratic party or moveon or something. The article is an attack on Mr. Bachmann's reputable clinic that seeks to turn young men away form homosexuality, something that a gay man like Mr. Shankbone doesn't like.
Can we do anything? Does outside pressure on wikipedia work? Would Michele's campaign people take an interest in fighting this slur at all? I am not sure what to do other than to call attention to this ugliness.
The liberals want to destroy Michele Bachmann by any means necessary. That’s what this is all about.
Not worth the effort, Wikipedia is infested with moonbats.
Sorry to say, but it really doesn’t matter. Bachman’s toast; been outed by some former employees as suffering from weekly, incapacitating, stress related migraine headaches. See: http://dailycaller.com/2011/07/18/stress-related-condition-incapacitates-bachmann-heavy-pill-use-alleged/
I just caught that at Drudge and came here to see what the response was. This is a major hit. Hmmm, wonder which candidate would benefit from this...
Ouch, not good. I have a family member with something similar...absolutely crippling headaches, usually related to air pressure (rather than stress). Migraine (with loads of caffeine) pills usually work but then they upset her stomach so lose/lose. Cant imagine it with all the stress of the presidency however.
Wrongo.
She has the problem but has found ways of dealing with it.
Are you serious? You only make yourself look clueless.
Michele Bachmann can run rings around you and nearly all the rest of us mortals in her career and other activities. The woman is a human dynamo.
And in the face of that unalterable truth that is there for all to see, we are supposed to believe she’s “toast” because she has migraines??
DUH...tell us, oh brilliant one...how did she get to where she is in life???
Hmmmmmmmmm?????
General Andrew Jackson had migraine headaches throughout his presidency, and I’ve never heard of a Democrat criticizing him, even with the Trail of Tears.
She is not “toast.”
She has accomplished amazing things in her life, and if she has headaches, she’s certainly found ways to do amazing things despite them.
Franklin Roosevelt could not walk, for Pete’s sake! That did not stop him from being president (not that he was a good one, mind you).
Wikipedia is nothing more than a handy jump off place for research, since, usually, it's the first entry on Google. You will find, however, that 4 times out of 5, an entry in Wiki is a direct cut and paste from another site. Do not consider it a final authority on anything. Remember, it's only a leftist version of "truth."
As far as whether anyone would be able to fight it, we are entering uncharted territory, this election, where ANYONE can find or create some little nugget, and it'll go viral. I think it was Mark Twain who said that a rumor will go around the World while the Truth is getting his shoes on. Now, take the nth power of the log of that speed and multiply.
This sucks the way they trash our candidates. As with Palin though better to fire off the guns early and get all the garbage out of the way early before things get serious and the election is on the line. Then come out swinging as a stronger competitor because of it.
It looks to me like the entry is both simply factual and being considered for deletion, so I don’t really see what the problem is.
The republican finally told him off and said “whether her husband believes that or not has considerably less affect on my life than the disastrous economic policies of obama and the democrats”
it was like “ZING~!!!”
“factual” ? Are you on the right board?
Regarding deletion, yes, someone is trying to do so, but these sorts of things are put to vote there - so far, the discussion leans to keeping.
Then enlighten me. What is not factual about it?
The O'Bummer has been giving all of us migraines the last couple of years... We survive. I'd hardly call this an obstacle in performing one's duties.
That's my attorney's advice about everything and he's been right way more often than not.
If I’m clueless you’re an idiot. First of all, I wasn’t suggesting that I agreed with the story or with the conclusion. Having entirely missed my point you are obviously incapable of understanding the bigger picture which is.........that the Leftist MSM will use this to discredit Bachman, making her appear to be suffering from a physical complaint that renders her unfit for office. If any of the “polls” can be believed, Karl Rove’s latest indicates that of the voting public, there’s almost an even 30% split between Repups, Dems and Independents. And it’s the Independents that waffle about in their beliefs and understandings, tissue box in hand, controlled and manipulated by the Liberal Gov’t propaganda organs of MSNBC and CNN.
Thus, the issue isn’t her condition, but rather the fact that her condition, if true will be used effectively against her.
