Does the new upgrade really need 7GB. I have 4GB

Have to admit I am kind of scared to upgrade my IMAC from Snow leopard to Lion by myself. Was it pretty easy?

Like falling off a log. One button install. Fear not.

As to the 7GB, I am not sure. It was never an issue for me.

I’m in the process of downloading as I type. That’s the part that takes the longest. Anyway, take the 7GB free diskspace as gospel. You’ll need the space for working with the file. In fact, if you cAn, I’d free up a whole lot more space. Lion will try and create a recovery partition on the HD as well.

So don’t go out trying to upgrade without a full backup, and as I mentioned, free up as much space as you can.
