A teenager in Texas says he shot what may be a chupacabra.
Carter Pope, 13, told KPRC in Houston he woke up Sunday in La Salle, Texas, and saw a strange animal.
"Something slowly came across and started shaking, slowly moving across," Carter said. "It was gray, no hair at all. I thought 'That's a chupacabra.'"

Are they good eating?
I saw a television show about chupacabras. It was very interesting and I hope the scientists can show that it is an animal that we didn’t know about. Of course, it will be put on an endangered species act and this kid will be immediately arrested.
Maybe he got an armadillo?
Looks like a coyote with a bad case of mange.
I am skeptical.
It seems curious that the only images/video was from a distance.
The one up-close image was blurry. It seemed likely to be a mal-formed goat or calf.
If it really were a ‘strange new creature’, zoologists would be there conducting tests, etc.
Wish the bastards would ‘suck the life out of’ some of the excess Canadian goose population.
Looks like a Three Toed Sloth.

I just saw some special on them and the zoologists are there studying them. They studied a carcas that was hit by a car and if I recall correctly, the DNA was a cross between a coyote and a mexican/grey wolf.
It sure looked a ton different then either of those, but that was the result of that particular DNA test....
years a go a Cajun from Louisiana called into the Art Bell show to comment on the Chupicabra theme of the night...
His name was Pepe’
..Pepe’ said to Art.....Art, know what they’s so sighting of Chupicabra’s in Louisiana ?
.. Art bite and said....why is that Pepe’ ?
.. Pepe’ answered......cause Cajuns can cook anything !

Carter said he took hair and skin samples for testing to put an end to the mystery once and for all.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife said it gets reports of the animal from time to time. They have yet to define the animal as a chupacabra.
Good one!
imagine that deep cajun accent too.....crap it was funny
I'm sure Jesse Ventura knows. ;)
