Why Women Should Carry Concealed Handguns

Vincent Lee Carson was wanted for another hotel robbery when he hid in the breakfast room of a Days Inn in Columbia, South Carolina. The female hotel clerk who came in to prepare breakfast “was about 100 pounds lighter than Carson and stood at least a foot shorter than him.” Carson attacked and held a knife to her throat.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said Carson’s intent was not only to rob the motel, but also to rape the clerk. “There’s no doubt that was his intent,” said Lott. “Not only was he going to rob her, but he was going to sexually assault her. Now what was he going to do after that assault was over with, we don’t know.”

As Carson pocketed his knife and prepared to tie her up, the victim drew a .22 caliber pistol and shot him point blank in the chest.

In the previous robbery, Carson broke into the hotel room of “two elderly tourists” and took their money, cell phone, and vehicle.

This victim received permission from her employer to carry on the job after being “victimized in one of two recent robberies at the same Days Inn.”

Sheriff Lott said “Carter had a lengthy criminal record in New York and New Jersey.”

“He was a career criminal on a crime spree and would not have stopped except for what happened this morning.”

Lott concluded: “The bottom line — he is the one who caused him to get killed.”

By defending her life, this victim benefitted society by stopping future violence, too.

My honey proudly carries her Glock out in the open. ; )

Of course this state follows the 2nd more than most and allows open or concealed carry.

She killed him, and justifiably so. The reason, the harm he presented to her in the future. That is why I would never vote to convict someone that killed someone even as they fled after assaulting or robbing them. Play with the bull, get the horns. America, and the world was much more polite when righteous indignation and the ability to “reach out and touch someone” met at the confluence of shouldn’t have _ _ _ _ _ _ with me, and you won’t do that again.

Maybe so but the point is that there’s nobody left to tell “their side” to anyone....ever.

society is supposed to protect it’s law-abiding citizens from “career criminals”.

if a society can’t keep it’s women and children safe from men like that, it has failed.

Why Women Should Carry Concealed Handguns?

Because some outfits just don’t look good with a holster.

That butt-ugly, bullet-headed pig.

God bless this lady for ridding the earth of reeking evil like him.

Not easy to plug a man with a .22, even one piled as thick and tall as this mound of s—t. Fear, adrenaline, absolute assurance of murderous retaliation if you or the gun doesn’t function with precision...and yet she did what she needed to do.

My new heroine. Again I say God bless her.

Lucky her.

In my fascist state, I have to carry a 100+ pound Dobermann in the open, instead.

[he’s a little bit hard to conceal]

True, was there a relationship between them? From what I know its very rare for a woman to fake an assault and shoot a guy she has never met before. Sometimes that happens with boyfriends or hubbies.

He was a career criminal.

Huh?

I was simply pointing out that dead men tell no tales.

We have a *very* “liberal” castle doctrine here and if I ever have to avail myself of it, I’m ~not~ shooting to wound or “warn”, even though our doctrine summarily negates the victim’s [*or* their survivors, as the case may be] right to prosecute me.

As far as this case is concerned, bravo to her and good riddance, to him.

Further proof that a .22 that hits is worth way more than a .44 mag that misses.

Oh, very much so.

He’s a LOT better judge of character than I am.

[maybe because he can literally smell somebody’s intentions...I dunno]

He doesn’t mind people looking at him but if a guy “stares at me wrong”, I feel that old chainsaw rumble of a low growl against my thigh and know to look wherever he’s looking.

This spring, he got *really* torqued over what I thought seemed a harmless looking elderly tall guy [that I really hadn’t noticed until the dog got ‘righteous’ about him coming up behind us] and I fussed at him for it and apologized to the old man for the dog’s ‘bad manners’.

I told hubby about it and his reply chilled my blood.

“What do you think your child-molesting uncle “looks like” to *everybody else*?”

And he’s right.

You would -never- pick my uncle out of a crowd as a “bad guy”.

So, from that moment forth, I’ve always paid heed to the dog’s ‘warnings’.

[but I may get a MinPin and a big handbag for “concealed carry”, some day]...LOL

In this case it seems that a .22 did the job as well as a deer slug from a ten guage could have done it. Never misunderestimate the little .22 rimfire, many who did are not around to belittle it any longer.
