John McCain garnered another key endorsement from the Republican party establishment today: that of Isengard overlord Saruman the White.
"It's clear to all that McCain is in touch with the needs of everyday orc voters." said Saruman during the announcement. "To vanquish, raze, and consume the flesh of our adversaries -- these are bread-and-butter issues to the core of his Isengard supporters."
But it's become fairly clear. Saruman doesn't just endorse McCain, Saruman *IS* McCain.
Funny.
These people belong in the funny papers, and not in government, much like Al Frankin...clowns.
A somewhat relevant point.
While hobbits played key roles, perhaps THE key role in the War of the Ring, they succeeded only because of the support of a very broad coalition.
Had hobbits decided to wage war on Sauron all by themselves, they would have been stomped into the pavement in very short order.
I prefer people in Congress who are more like Gandalf,
especially when it comes to legislation that gives the farm away...
Surprisingly he would have nailed it, if he could have not shown hatred for the Constitutional Conservatives.
Constitutional Conservatives...... Not a bad name for a New/Old Party.
