A rectangular door with a door knob on one side? Instant fail.

(yes, I admit to my geekhood).

To be authentic, the doorway should be round.

The door isn’t round with a gold door knob in the middle. It’s not a hobbit hole. No 10,000 post thread for a regular green door.

Agreed, that was the first thing that hit me... if you are making a Hobbit themed house the least you could do is start with a round door...

That was my first thought as well. Where’s the round door?

Maybe a Stoor maiden Hobbit married a Fallohide buck and agreed to the burrow but insisted on a rectangular door?

I thought the same thing. Unless it’s a circular door with the knob in the middle, it isn’t a hobbit house.

Round doors don’t meet the code, leave it to local beureucrats to ruin people’s fun.

Fail, indeed. But the house is a neat idea. Maybe the guy could go back and re-do the door at some point in time.
