My favorite as well. Even though it came out before I was born, for some reason listening to the theme brings childhood memories of watching a new Bond flick each summer in the cinema.
I also like the Casino Royale theme. It along with Daniel Craig has once again elevated the Bond franchise:
My List of Bonds:
1. Connery (Except for that mistake Never Say Never Again)
2. Craig (With the controversy of his selection would have never expected he would be so good)
3. Lazenby (Underrated. Over the years his suave performance has grown on me. As a kid had him as the worst behind Moore and Connery. )
4. Moore (OK. But some of his acting now seems a bit corny)
5. Brosnan (Always seemed exactly like what a British Remington Steele would be like)
6. Dalton (Was OK in The Living Daylights. Nothing like a Bond in the follow up)
I was watching part of “The Man With the Golden Gun” yesterday, and recalled how silly it was to have Sherriff JW Pepper make a cameo appearance, totally ruined the movie.
but..
..ranks pretty high up there with Goldfinger and Dr. No.
From a story standpoint, “For Your Eyes Only” had nothing that even resembled fantasy. No gadgets at all, and a storyline that could have come out of the files of MI-6.
And what do you mean 'bad science' in Moonraker? You mean Marines don't launch into battle out of the back of a space shuttle armed with laser cannons? And we all know that artificial gravity is perfectly easy to generate by simply spinning your radar-invisible space station.
No no no! Sophie Marceau was the most beautiful Bond girl.
Agreed
Calling the ‘conservative content’ policia!
Same with bringing Jaws back in “Moonraker.” He should have died in the pre-credits sequence when his parachute failed.
There is only one Bond, the one in Goldfinger.
Never liked the way Lazenby played the role, a little too much emotion for the role. Bond was not written to be emotional. He was written as a celebration of male chauvinism when men were men, etc..A modern day resurrection of that personna is Don Draper of Madmen.

LOL! And shuttles are always carried on the back of the 747 fully fueled (no need even for the external tank!), guys who dress like East End London thugs can pilot one, they can lift off from an enclosed location without destroying it with heat or vibration, and the theme to CE3K will open any keycode doorlock.
LOL! He was having a bad day yesterday, I think ;-)
My all time favorite was Timothy Dalton. Not because he was the best, but because he replaced the worst, Roger Moore.
I sort of like Craig’s look tho it does not match Fleming’s description.
One thing which ruined “Casino Royale” to me was the early fight scene which seemed a bit too much like a “Roadrunner” cartoon.
It always amazed me that they ignored that fact that even a ‘radar invisible’ space station 300 feet in diameter is going to cause quite a stir on the surface when it’s spotted by the human eye.
Sean Connery is the best Bond, though the entire series took a nosedive after Goldfinger/Thunderball.
The best Bond movie is On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
It would have been a masterpiece with Connery and having someone like Max von Sydow instead of Savalas.
