You Only Live Twice. The first movie to show Blofeld’s face.

Oddjob was definitely a top villain.

A quibble; Goldfinger was the villain in "Goldfinger:" Oddjob was the heavy. That said, he was a splendid heavy.

I dont like the new guy - not Bond-like at all

I'm betting Ian Fleming would disagree with you. Ever see what he wanted Bond to look like?

The best answer is "George Lazenby," because it completely subverts the question and questioner. It's like slapping you in the face. We could get the same effect by naming one of the many Bonds in the 60s Casino Royale but it takes effort to remember who they were.

But to be more serious, I guess Sean Connery is the only answer. Ian Fleming wanted a refine Englishman and didn't originally cotton to the Scotsman, but Connery made the role his own.

Roger Moore was kind of a joke. He obviously didn't take Bond with even a minimal amount of seriousness. Pierce Brosnan is an arrogant jerk, and you don't have to be Mel Gibson to hate Timothy Dalton.

The new guy, Clive Owen Daniel Craig actually wants to subvert the franchise. If any part of you is a Bond-hater you'll have a soft spot for him, but if you're a true fan, you won't.

Yeah they did, in the barn during the Winter Festival, hiding out from Blofeld’s goons.

Sean Connery
Daniel Craig
Roger Moore
Timothy Dalton
Pierce Brosnan
George Lazenby

FRWL and Goldfinger among the best, but Casino Real is as good as any.

"Moonraker" was a great movie, except for Lois Chiles, bad science, pigeons doing double takes, gondolas that become cars, Jaws living after his parachute failed, monks with lasers...

On the plus side: Beautiful location filming.

Lois Chiles

My vote as the best looking Bond girl ever. Maybe I'm biased because she's from Texas.

Count me as superficial but I also like the appeal to male fantasy about 007 having the proper equipment to turn a lesbian Ms Galore straight.

Casino Royale - 2006 - with Daniel Craig

Finally a move from the suave and de boner, effeminate Bond boys (Sean Connery was real good tho)to a serious, hard core Bond who kicks butt.

Pierce Brosnan was a total waste as was Roger Moore........

My vote as the best looking Bond girl ever.

Beautiful, yes. But in the acting department, she, Tanya Roberts and Denise Richards are the bottom of the barrel as Bond girls.

Be still my heart!! Hope I can make it to the fainting couch......(of course I’m kiddin’...I’ve had my own James Bond for the last 45 years). Though my favorite theme song is from You Only Live Twice, my favorite theme song for my James Bond is The Spy Who Loved Me (Nobody Does It Better)..:)

The best “realistic” Bond was Connery in From Russia With Love, though it still had many fantasy elements. They were not so far fetched as to be ridiculous. In fact, criminal smugglers have tried to duplicate the scene of him dumping gasoline on water and igniting it; which of course doesn’t work.

The early James Bond films actually created a “reaction” in spy movies in both the US and Britain, trying to restore a sense of realism. But in Italy, just the reverse was true, in which they tried to create even more ridiculous spy and action movies.
