How sweet!! I love how the big ole’ Great Dane just hugged his master. I agree with Abathar... it is heartwarming and a wonderful way to start our day!

They also serve those who sit, lay, roll over, beg and wait.

Cute video, but I wonder if those dogs were just as excited when their owners returned from a trip to the store or even to pick up the newspaper on the porch.

MSNBC had a story about the contemptuous reaction cats had to their owners returning from war. < /s>

Thanks. Beautiful story.

The first time I came home for Thanksgiving vacation from college my border collie went nuts too, even more than what I see here in this video. Each successive time I returned home, though, the greeting was progressively less effusive.

We were great buddies. We often would play a game of hide-and-seek where I was able to engineer a head-start and then he would excitedly hunt me down.

He was smart as a whip and learned many tricks. I sure do miss him.

Aww... Totally love these vids. My daughters and I spent a couple HOURS watching these videos on YouTube the other day. So heartwarming to see all the love there!

Videos like this make me miss my beautiful lab all the more... Such a special friendship between human and dog!

That was wonderful but not any different from when I come home from running errands. My dogs always act like I have just come back from a long long trip. :D

I love that dog!!

My dogs remember my kids when they venture home a couple of times a year, as soon as they walk in the door.

They are so excited to see them like they are when they see me of my Husband walk in. It’s amazing how they remember.

I want to add that I have a female cocker who can be very weary of new people or those she doesn’t recognize right away. She is protective and will sniff, bark and circle them before she walks away, but she always know my kids.

They grew up with her and they are still “hers” even though she sees them maybe 2-3 times a year.

Aw, what a good way to start the morning!
It reminds me of the video where the soldier surprises the kids and they start crying, but they don’t understand why...

Yes they are. I can’t imagine my life without my dogs in it, I have 2 now and one of them is really getting up there, we have been dreading this coming for a while now.
