Does anyone here know how those 2 elections turned out yesterday? Thank you.
I believe the RATs kept both seats, unfortunately.
Both rats won and held their seats. WI Senate remains 17 GOP and 16 rat.
Look over to the right. There’s a thread there.
Lost both. County by county numbers:
Thank you.
While I WISH our base had turned out in droves and routed the D’s, it was still a costly election for them- $25million for recalls, if I got the news reports correctly.
And they barely squeeked out a victory in heavily D districts
BUT WE GOTTA DO BETTER THAN THIS FOLKS
I know it is hard to work up energy until the big one- in 2012. And the GOP headquarters is filled with Morons...
But this would have been a far more valuable lesson if the TEA party had kicked SOME MORE D’s out of office.
Unfortantely our work is not over. The Dems and the Unionistas are going to recall Walker. It won’t take them that much to get 550,000 idiots to sign a recall petition in this state to do that. And, they will also be going after Sens Vukmir and Lesaee (sp), and others during that recall.
Rats won in the Rat districts. Republicans have a chance to unseat two Rats in the next election. Key to victory is quality candidates and good campaigns. That hasn’t always been the case with the Republicans. Start donating to Gov. Walker now as the Rats are after him in a recall election next year. Wisconsin is on track. Don’t let us go back to union control, high taxes, deficits and unbalanced budgets.
Not sure, but that may be the total spent and a lot of it came from Republican/conservative outside spending groups as well. Both sides spent a lot of money. The good news, the unions are being sapped of their strength and money will be harder and harder to come by for them.
And they barely squeeked out a victory in heavily D districts
LOL, that's one way to look at it. If you count Holperin beating Tea Party activist Kim Simac by 8 points and Wirch beating Republican lawyer Jonathan Steitz by 16 points "squeeking" out a victory. We never made either of these 2 races even competitive.
BUT WE GOTTA DO BETTER THAN THIS FOLKS
Yup, will need to do much better. We held on to the state Senate, but not by much. For all the recall elections in total, 6454 more people voted for the Democrats than Republicans. The left is going to fight with everything they've got, and we need to do the same.
