This ones sure to have gay marriage proponents buzzing. Here Comes the Bride, a bridal store in Somers Point, New Jersey, is feeling the heat after allegedly refusing to sell a wedding dress to a lesbian.
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Alix Genter visited the store with six of her closest family and friends. After the woman tried on a number of dresses, she purportedly chose the one she wanted and placed an order for it.
But, when she filled out the associated form, she crossed out the word groom and wrote partner instead. Then, she wrote the name of her future wife on the document and left the store. Later on, Genter was perplexed when the stores owner, Donna, called her and said that Here Comes the Bride would not be providing her with a wedding dress.
According to a Philadelphia Inquirer piece, written by Ronnie Polaneczky, Genter was extreme upset upon receiving this call.
Apparently, theres also a voicemail from the stores owner claiming that the wedding was not legal and that the store does not participate in any illegal actions.

I really like the voicemail message.
I’m sure the gay libs will do everything in their power to destroy the store’s business.
I’m ambivalent about the entire issue. I have a gay sister who drives me nuts but there are skeletons in every closet.
homosexual agenda ping
I don't see why it should be any business of the store owner what she wants to use the wedding dress for. Strange this happened in New Jersey of all places.
I wonder if the customer was trying to provoke the store.
It’s in the Constitution! “A private business cannot refuse service to anyone who’s wearing a shirt and shoes.”
It’s the Good and Plenty clause.
Get the thought Crime , I mean hate crime police.
When will people “get it?”
It will never be good enough for them. Even if they had every right a normal couple had and were looked at completely the same, they would still make an issue.
Many of these people have psychological issues and many that are semi normal are doing it for the attention it gets them. It’s a self and socially destructive behavior (yes, there is a choice) and the only thing that has changed is that today as a society we have decided to give this group of people benefits intended for couples and specifically child rearing families that keep society going.
Why is it strange that it happened in NJ?
This probably wasn’t too wise of the store to do this. If they played their cards right, they could have sold a dress or a pantsuit to her partner as well. 8-)
Of course they were!
It’s no different than homo’s running into Catholic churches wearing clown suits in San Fransisco. Only here they want to self victimize. That goes over better in the eye of the public.
NOTHING you do will ever satisfy them because their motivation for being the way they are is twisted and dysfunctional, incoherent, unnatural and full of contradictions. It’s a person that is conflicted and seeking attention in most cases.
Are you ambivalent about people's rights to their freedom of conscience and freedom of association?
This is the damage and destruction that the homo agenda has wrought.
Why is it they want to stick everything in everyones face. Why not just leave that line blank on the form if you really want the dress? Is it because they want to try to hurt businesses who may disagree with their perversion?
Yep lots of drama queens in the homosexual community.Much of the adolescence “look at me, look at MEEEEE” going on. I suspect it is because no one really ever does look at them ever and this is a way of getting attention?
Lesbians? Is this thread about lesbians?
Without going in to great detail I can say that without question you can have fun with a woman who call themselves “A Lesbian”. Now I’m not talking the ones that are like guys, I’m talking about the kind that any guy thinks is smoking hot. They can be fun and entertaining and under the right conditions they can be made to forget that lesbian thing.....
I thought NJ was more progressive on the whole gay marriage thing. You'd think this would happen in the Midwest or in the South. Can't imagine some Yankee dress store owner telling a woman who came into her shop to buy an expensive dress, "You're an embarrassment," and to make a scene out of it.
It was also pretty stupid for the dress owner to say that the wedding was "illegal" and that they wouldn't support illegal activities.
There's nothing illegal about a gay wedding. People can get together and have any type of ceremony that they want; buy rings, dresses, wedding cakes, whatever. The issue has always been state endorsement of the marriage and the peripheral legal benefits, not the ceremony.
Business is business. Gays and lesbians buy products too, especially fashion products I well imagine.
Why does the store need the groom’s name?
This type of lawsuit has happened more than once before here in NJ so there are plenty who do not buy into this type of use of government forcing perversion on others. Civil unions were forced upon NJ by the Courts. It was one of the most outrageous court decision I have ever heard yet, the Court ordered the legislature to write a law supporting civil unions as if the legislature was there to represent them and not We the People. NJ is not quite as left-wing as some would be led to believe, like other states we are being ruled by the high population centers, the teachers union and other left-wing special interests groups. On a county by county map NJ is largely conservative republican.
