I can rarely so unambiguously recommend a book.

It is very short - brevity being the soul of wit. Franklin is long on wits and short with words.

It is amazingly instructive on not just Ben Franklin and the historic events (that he wanted you to know) that surrounded his life - but the system by which he lived his life - both highly instructive.

And yes, he wrote “Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy”
