Supposedly Marine One landed near Frederick, MD, rather than Camp David, with POTUS aboard. POTUS continued to Camp David by motorcade due to bad weather at Camp David landing site.
Story is pegging my BS meter. How would a/c with POTUS aboard ever be dispatched into such conditions?
Was this a security situation?
FOX reported earlier, I can’t remember which show, that a small plane that was flying without radio contact - I think it said - was spotted in the area. I haven’t heard anything else reported about it.
It wasn’t bad enough...
My nephew just got married in an outdoor wedding today in Maryland and the weather was beautiful. 5:00 wedding.
In the interim, Marine one was diverted, landed, and Obama transferred to motorcade to complete the trip.
Apparently, the white houses press department just made up a story about bad weather, and fed it to the press corp. I guess lying is just such a habit, it happens automatically now.
The weather was quite nice most of the day. Got a little cool and cloudy in the afternoon. Nothing that would affect a helicopter.
There probably was a security situation, and the small plane thing might initially seem likely. Oddly, though, I did not see or hear any of the fighter craft that come out of Langley AFB to take care of errant small planes in restricted airspace. Usually they come overhead at about 3 feet of altitude and I HEAR them. So the small plane thing, maybe yes, maybe no.
Moochele probably had a hang over and couldn’t take the turbulance.
Apparently, Michelle and the other daughter did not go with Obama in Marine one.

If Brian Williams announced the sun would rise in the east tomorrow morning, I'd be up at the crack of dawn with a compass just to make sure.

He is probably not at Camp David, but meeting with his benefactors (political and $$) at an undisclosed location to the west-south-west of Fredrick Md. Just a guess. Pull out a map and a compass, draw an arc... The alternated location (if he is using it) is obvious.
He had one spawn, but no Moochelle with him for the weekend at Camp David.
Where is Moochelle, and what is it costing us??
