You missed the entire point! I was not suggesting Perry had to leave his Gov post to run for President! I never said anything of the sort!

During Perry`s re election he was asked repeatedly by Texans, will you promise to finish your term and not run for President...he said absolutely he would not run for President

What the heck is Cheney doing encouraging Clinton to run.

It is about dividing the enemy. Read some Sun Tzu.

Yea, just pushing some buttons.. but whose..

You are certainly pushing mine. As the lone Santorum supporter on FR, all I see are pics of Palin with big names and Perry with big names. Nothing about poor Santorum. This is the closest pic of Santorum I could find with big name celebrities. Apparently the band Cheap Trick was staying at this hotel at the time. I know there are more out there. I will keep looking.

Rick is about to catch fire in this election. I can feel it.

Nat’l. Endowment for the Arts - no funding for ‘abortion art’, crucifixes sitting in urine, etc.

That was then.

Things change.

That is very disingenuous of you. Like false advertising.

Like Perry supporting Gore “then” (20 years ago) or Palin supporting McCain “then”? Both seem to be excuses for the other camp to go after each other instead of looking at what unites us.

Then why would you post a thread like this in the first place...if not to ignite a flame war? Isn’t that called hypocrisy?
Yes, I think it is.

The flame war was already going. The point is to show that the people whose camps are attacking each other don’t represent the people they support. The war is among their own egos, not their candidates.

Most cogent thing I have read on FR all year.

“Having Mr. Nugent as the VP would be a waste.
Put him in charge of the EPA.”

Tough call - I’d see him fitting in great in the Department of the Interior in a Republican administration.

THE NUGE would not suffer weenie liberals.

My God ... you are to be tarred and feathered. Presenting evidence that Govs Palin and Perry might actually be a good fit.

You’re nothing but a freakin’ RINO yourself...

Well, it needs to stop. What are we supposed to do? Each of us say, “You first?”
The live debate thread tonight was just ridiculous.

It’s getting bad when you begin wanting a candidate or potential
candidate to fail just to spite their nasty rude zealot followers.

It looks like she’s showing Rick Perry how obama hold his hands when he deplanes AF1.

Disingenuous, like your photo might imply?

Of course, the right choice is to change course. The man for the job is Gov. Rick Perry from the great Republic of Texas.

Mr. Perry knows that lower taxes, less government regulation, much less federal government, more state control and a pro-business environment are what ultimately will turn America around. He knows conservative economic principles create jobs while liberal buffoonery strangles the economy.

The words above are Ted Nugent's from the article.
