Last night at the Presidential Gary Johnson got some laughs for his line about his neighbor's dogs creating more shovel-ready projects than OBAMA.
He stole the line from RUSH who said it in yesterday's program.
He stole the line from RUSH who said it in yesterday’s program.
Is this a Rush orginal or did he cop it from someone else? Proof of theft is more that just an assertion of theft.
Johnson has the “pot vote” so, naturally, FNC and Google staff demand his presence.
I had not heard the line until Johnson said it and I enjoyed it immensely.
I’m sorry you didn’t, Francis.
Nah, the joke’s older than that. It dates back to Obama’s first “shovel ready” pronouncements. More recently, it’s been used A LOT on the twitter #AttackWatch tag.
But thats not faaaaaiiiiiirrrrrr
I'm told that it was already "old saw" by then but still pokes fun at what Obama claims as "shovel ready."
One would suppose some cattle rancher somewhere, repeated that line when cleaning the pen, long before it went 'round the internet world.
He did a pretty good job. I liked his answer on vetoes.
Did Johnson piss in your Cheerios?
I knew I heard it some where else before.BTW; what was with the muscle man soldier coming out of the closet last night?I am sure maddow will start a campaign for him.
I know I heard it somewhere before, I thought I had read it on one of the FR threads, comments, when I heard him say that.
Never fear, Cherrios in great shape.
It does. The affinity between "shovel" and "sh*t" goes way back. Then it was horses. Today it's pets and politicians.

If the following military code link has not changed he has violated many of the articles of the regulations.

The worst part was that when he was confronted by a host on The Takeaway, instead of admitting that he cribbed the line, he hemmed and hawed, then cravenly bashed Rush.
You are right. I also found a version of it posted on Monday September 19th on a tweet from a person taunting the Day of Rage people on Twitter. At the time I cut and pasted the actual tweet:

@takewallstreet Hey poseurs, my dog left a shovel-ready project on my lawn. Want a job? #takewallstreet
It's not as though there is a high demand for more Libertarians on stage, certainly NOT by TEA Party folk.
We/they may be more fiscally conservative than various GOP-leaning groups but as far as I can tell, they are very socially conservative as well - definitely not clammering for "pro-Pot legalization" signs waiving at our local TEA Party outings. None in fact but I do see teams of pro-second amendment, pro-life; pro-defense of marriage folk.
