Funny, I thought they hung traitors - not made them College Presidents and eulogized their passing. Did I miss a history lesson where Gen. Lee and Jeff Davis were tried for treason?

What the hell does your tricycle have to do with a tribute to a great American?

And all in the service of what was ones of the most oppressive, evil governments in the Western world at the time.

That was true up until the point they swore allegiance to the Confederacy.

I have seen some insane posts by you, but perhaps you have outdone yourself with that insane post. Are you drunk or just that stupid?

But I will against my nation...

What has your "nation" done for you lately?

Not sure someone who ordered Pickett’s Charge should be memorialized as a patriot (by either side).

It’s not a tricycle, you dolt and that’s the monument to the soldiers buried in the Confederate cemetery in Frederick MD.

Who spit in your corn flakes this morning?

I guess this particular anniversary is important enough to report three weeks early.

Unless, of course, September 23 was supposed to stand for something - and whatever it was, it apparently got lost with the satellite.

LOL

You know what? Jeff Davis wanted a trial after the war but the cowardly US Govt wouldn’t give him one. You want to know why? That would have put secession on trial and since there is nothing in USC against secession Jeff Davis would have been found not guilty placing the whole war of Northern aggression in a whole new light for the world to see.

Fighting an oppressive government, even though it may rule over your nation, is not treason. The nation and the government are different. What is a nation to you, exactly?

Read a great book about Lee some years ago - told from the vantage point of his horse.. I think it was called Traveler.
