"And Christie’s announcement WAS a revelation???"

No it wasn't, but from what I have heard, Rush's focus was on the GOP establishment's courtship of Christie rather than his announcement.

“No it wasn’t, but from what I have heard, Rush’s focus was on the GOP establishment’s courtship of Christie rather than his announcement.”

Rush talked about the establishment disliking Palin all the time. And Rush could have talked about the reaction of Palin’s supporters to her announcement.

"Still I think he should have at least mentioned it in passing. That is strange."

Given that he was singing her praises previously, he might have felt a little strung along by the time the announcement came.

Did he not mention Ann Coulter not mentioning anything about Sarah Palin not saying she’s not running for president?

And there are a few things to discuss there. Did her kids say ‘mommy no’ and that was it? Was she that shallow?

VIDEO: Bristol Palin -- "Some Things Just Need To Stay In The Family"

June 28th, 2011 ..... "She definitely knows," Bristol said Tuesday during an appearance on Fox News. "We've talked about it before. Some things just need to stay in the family."

I warned about it back then and I was accused of "PDS".

The warning flags were there for those willing to at least look at them.

1.) A decision had "definitely" been made.

2.) The decision was discussed with Bristol.

3.) The decision had to "stay in the family". (Note the extremely awkward tone of voice Bristol uses when she says that.)

4.) Business oriented actions such as trademarking the "Sarah Palin" name and "Bristol Palin" name were taken for, among other things, "entertainment" purposes according to the application.

5.) No preparations associated with a serious Presidential campaign (No staff, no infrastructure, no courting of major donors, no serious interviews on policy outside the safety of FOX News with Sean and Greta) were undertaken.

6.) The obvious lack of serious Presidential campaign preparations was rationalized by supporters by grandiose talk of Sun Tzu as if Palin lived and breathed "The Art of War".

In the end, the deception in play was that "Some Things Just Need To Stay In The Family".

I don’t care about Ann Coulter. He calls himself the leader of conservatism in America, he should have mentioned it.

You assume the war is over. That's not what I heard last night. More like attacking in a different direction.

It’s pretty simple. Rush grew up, grew rich, and grew famous on hard-hitting conservative commentary on the news of the day, especially the political news. That doesn’t mean he can’t talk about computers or golf or whatever else as well, but that’s (ostensibly) what his audience is primarily there for. If he wants to do three hours on Steve Jobs and blow off breaking political news, there are local shows on the weekend where he can do that.

His show on Steve Jobs and Apple products was boring.

... it was pretty clear to me after Oct 1 passed (she gave end of September as a deadline) and that little talk about titles and shackles.

In the "titles and shackles" interview, she was definitely trying to tell her supporters that the cat was up on the roof.

===================================

A man left his cat with his brother while he went on vacation for a week. He was very fond of his cat and told his brother that he would call every night to find out how the cat was doing. On the first night, he called his brother and asked, "How's Felix doing?" The brother hesitated, then said, "I'm so sorry, John, but the cat ran out the door, got hit by a car and was killed."

The man was very upset and yelled, "You know, you could have broken the news to me better than that. When I called tonight, you could have said he was up on the roof and wouldn't come down. Then when I called the next day, you could have said that he had fallen off and the vet was working on patching him up. Then when I called the third day, you could have said he had passed away."

The brother thought about it and apologized.

"So how's Mom?" asked the man.

"Ummmm .... Mom's up on the roof and won't come down."

Why do you think Rush didn't bring up Palin's announcement that she's not running for president?

Because he's not obsessed with Sarah Palin?

“Because he’s not obsessed with Sarah Palin?”

You don’t have to be obsessed with her to mention it.

Putting up a vanity thread asking why Rush Limbaugh didn’t mention Sarah Palin seems a tad obsessive.

I’m not obsessed with her. My thread is about why Rush didn’t mention her. Rush mentioned Christie not running.

Oh, yes! I should have seen it. Palin is really a Marxist double-agent whose mission is to ensure the reelection of Barack Hussein Obama!

In her speech, Sarah said that she would not seek the GOP nomination. However, that is only a feint to lull the GOP into a false sense of security and allow her to come in from the Left flank and attack the GOP with a Third Party run which will effectively split the anti-Obama vote!

Thus, conservatives can be duped into forming a Pro-Obama Fifth Column to put the Marxist back in the White House while believing that they are saving America!

For the GOP, it will be a "Ross Perot Fiasco" all over again!

It is a brilliantly diabolical plan that would deceive Sun Tzu himself!

Your problem, McGruff, is that you do not even seem to know that the enemy is the reelection of Obama.

===========================

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle” ― Sun Tzu, The Art of War

Tomorrow he'll be very defensive and go on about how he didn't mention her on purpose, that his not mentioning her was a statement in itself, that it was all part of his Grand Design. I know my Rush.

I also know that he exhibited cowardice as well as contempt for part of his audience today. He'll have all kinds of rationale for it tomorrow, but that's all it will be. He'll whine that we're whining. Though I won't find out whether I'm right or not because I'm going to listen to Larry Elder instead, whose take today on Palin's annoucement was interesting -- he had an anecdotal story about some anti-Palin folks he knew, and he sounded disappointed at her decision

Both in this household (we both switched to Larry by 10 a.m., unbeknownst to each other) realize it's time to take a little break from Rush. Larry's as good (and sometimes better) anyway.

Because Steve Jobs died and now Rush will have to call tech support to get his Macs fixed.

Maybe he didnt want to play psychologist for her disappointed fans. What could he have said today to make her fans feel better? What could he have said that would change what happened?

Could have been Jobs’ Death. Or, it could have been the fact that now she isn’t running, talking about it ad nauseum would detract from the real job at hand - burying Obama electorally in 2012. It leaves the field of discussion limited to those that are serious about gaining the Presidency.

[For the die-hard Palin supporters: The comment above re: ‘serious’ was with respect to being President only. It should not be construed to mean I don’t think she’s serious about her concern for this country and desire to make things better.]

His total focus with Apple lost me. It gets boring.

Rush hasn’t been the same anymore. He goes off the rails and becomes almost super crabby and flippant at times.

He was never rude to his own callers as he has been lately.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He’s crabby because he knows we’re screwed. all we got is obama and a bunch of dam rinos.
