I wonder how this kind of news article affects children today. When I was a kid, there were no detailed reports of mothers either killing their children or being suspects in the deaths of their children. Now, when I read such ominous news I have a hard time conceiving of a mother killing her baby but apparently, today’s children will not have the luxury of growing up with that ‘bias’ or ‘blindspot’. *sigh*

Why would anybody take a fraudulent "lie detector" test?

If you pass it, the cops say it doesn't mean anything.

If you fail it, they act like it does.

No comment on whether or not this parent is involved.
However, I would never, ever, take a polygraph. Snake oil. The guy who created the Wonder Woman comic book created the “lie detector” as a PR stunt for his comic book. It is a good intimidation tool but it does not detect the truth or lies and can be used to portray truthful people as liars.

Susan Smith forever changed everything. Now it’s pretty much in the Court of Public Opinion, the parents are presumed guilty until proven innocent.

My expert opinion: The mother killed the baby- probably accidentally, in the sense she hit her or shook her without intending to kill her. Hubby came home from work and discovers baby missing. She tells him what happened. The mother had either already disposed of the body, or hubby helped her. They came up with the stolen cell phone story to explain the time period between the time hubby got home and the time they called the cops. Or, maybe they’re thinking about the GPS tracking and they believe by dumping the phones, their movements can’t be traced.

The facts are that if you are a baby and you get murdered, there is a 99.999% chance that mommy killed you.

I know nothing about this woman, what she did, said etc. I have no dog in that hunt.

But I will say this: Polygraphs are worse than useless. It would be better to use an astrologer.

Never talk to the police without a lawyer present. Simple as that.
