Newt Gingrich: Gingrich has lived full-time in a McLean, Virginia, home outside of D.C. that he and his wife, Callista, bought in May of 2000 for $995,000. The two-story home is on more than 5,000 square feet and has five bedrooms, four bathrooms, and three fireplaces. (Newt can't even beat Jon Hunstman.)

I was getting so tired of the same canard that Cain and Gingrich are both residents of Georgia. So I did some research to establish for how long Newt has lived in Virginia. Here it is!!!

Not clear where Herman's Man-Cave is;)

So you slam Cain by calling out that he doesn't live in GA, but you say you have no idea where he lives? What is your angle here? Are we going to now have residency requirements for GOP candidates? That is stupid. I only care about their Conservative history and future plans to save the country. Mittens doesn't live anywhere near DC. Is he more to your liking?

Duh!!!

Embracing a Cain/Gingrich ticket Laz - and on every thread someone would claim that because Cain and Gingrich are both Georgia residents it would not be allowed.

Have refuted that on every occasion - but was unsure of how long Newt has lived in VA. This is the result of that search.

Not a very friendly site - and it only states that Cain lives in McDonough Georgia.

Read it!

You only need to go as far as Wikipedia to find this.

“[Cain] lives in the Atlanta suburbs, where he also serves as an associate minister at Antioch Baptist Church North.”

I don’t need to read anything. I know where Herman Cain lives. Just pointing out the article was unfriendly and short on facts.

Do you think Google Maps might have some? I really don’t wnat to go much further - it might encourage those ‘occupy’ lunatics.

Thx jsn - I already knew that - just trying to offer clarification on a Cain/Newt ticket for the people who keep saying/asking/claiming that they are BOTH Georgia residents and such a ticket would not be acceptable by electoral college.

The question comes up on every single thread;(

over and out.

I sort of halfway doubt that Newt will be Cain’s VP pick, but who knows at this point? In my equally mushy opinion, a candidates region plays less of role these days than ideology. The winning candidate (Cain) will most likely have to choose someone from the opposite side of the Republican Party to have the best chance of winning. That will make a lot of conservatives angry, but the old adage that politics makes strange bedfellows didn’t come about by accident.

That's the old Pubbie party-hack way of thinking. How about a real all-Tea-Party ticket, "balanced" only geographically: Cain, Palin, or Bachmann in any combination? Kick the bleeping country-clubbers into the ditch, forever.

I’d love to see it, but doubt that it will happen way. No matter how the final game plan is laid out, regional demographics aren’t likely to factor in. ...Once we get away from Washington insiders and the media, the importance of progressive Republicans fades, but not so much that we can write off needing a little establishment enthusiasm to win. Reagan chose his Bush to cover that gap, and Cain might have to do the same. ...It’s not what I want.

I think Newt with fit nicely and be seen as a ‘balance’. He’s already had to deal with the dems.
