On the rare occasion that Santorum slams Mittens, it is good.

They just found some tunnels recently in Arizona.

With Perry at 9% in the Rasmussen poll no good reason to kick him when he’s down

Hmmm. I remember one of you Perrypals commenting on what a hard campaigner Perry is. How when he gets a rival down he doesn't take his boot off their neck.

Just returning the favor.

So which is it. Serious or ridicule?

Everyone sees that Perry is down. You want to use a mallet to knock him down more. That doesn't take an intellectual giant. A juvenile delinquent like you will do just fine.

Lighten up, bluto.

The point about Rick having a poor grasp of substantive issues? That is quite serious.

The point about him misspeaking on the date of the Revolution when enjoying a beer after the debate at the frat house?

I don’t for a minute think Rick does not know what year we declared independence from Great Britain. That is NOT serious, just a brain freeze, and grounds for teasing. All people who speak extemporaneously to audiences do that kind of thing occasionally.

I didn't say that and I didn't hear that.

This goes beyond mere political infighting. Its pure disdain of Perry with a fair amount of phony indignation thrown in.

What goes around comes around.

Yeah, I already read that, but the transcriber put “if” where the meant to put “of,” so I am not so sure that they didnt transcribe the date wrong as well. Which is why I asked for audio, or video, that you did not provide.

There were cameras rolling because I remember watching the clip on one of the cable channels.

If I were you Perry guys I wouldn’t worry about things like that. He needs to focus on being sharper in the upcoming debates.

Unlike Romney who has been at this presidential campaign for 4 solid years now; Cain who is a radio talkshow host; and Newt who is a professional rhetorician by trade. Perry has been at this for 8 weeks. I know Perry has a good grasp of the issues, but doesn't have the debate experience to communicate his opinion properly. That is his fault and it could be his downfall. We shall see. But Perry has more executive governing experience then all the other candidates combined. This year experience is taking a backseat to filibuster politics and bloviating neophytes. Thank you, Obama.

And thanks for the stab at civil debate.

The goal of the establishment is to seat Romney. Perry complicates the chance of that happening. No telling how extensive the Establishment/Romney payroll is.

People have got to cut him some slack - he's only been in politics for 27 years, he's in his 60s, he's only had a handful of presidential debates, eventually he'll get the knack of it.

Look, I think Rick personally is a fine man, a genuine Christian and a real patriot who loves our country.

I happen to think his compassion toward the illegals would ultimately be national suicide, so that trumps everything else for me. I also have a problem with things like the Texas Emerging Technology Fund, which I don’t think is a proper role of government.

But if we could somehow set that aside, he has some very good positions on other issues.

It may be that his staff is trying to stuff him with zinger lines hoping for a “where’s the beef” or a “you’re no John Kennedy” moment. He would be better off just being himself, not trying to remember points his staff wants him to score and simply speaking in the moment.

Yeah, Obama and his 57 states, Bachmann and her shot heard around the world, politicians are going to make dumb gaffes.

Correction: Romney not being able to get out of the low to mid 20s in the polls complicates the chance of that happening. The guy already lost one national primary in 2008, and he was polling a lot better then.

As I've posted many times. From the get-go I thought the immigration issue relating to the in-state tuition would be the #1 black mark on Perry's record that some conservatives would have the most trouble with. I oppose in-state tuition and my state of Colorado just voted it down in April. I also understand its a states rights issue per the 10th amendment and federalism. And it shouldn't trump Perry's fine conservative record on other issues or disqualify him from being the GOP nominee or potus. Perry has said he does not support Harry Reid's Dream Act. Period! That is good news.

Handlers aside. I do agree with you about his general campaign staff. Especially his main communications man, Ray Sullivan. The guy sucks. And the video ad man form Pawlenty isn't getting the job done.

You forgot he has a Brain Trust behind 999. but he ONLY talks about Lowrie.

MR. CAIN: My advisers come from the American people. Now, I will have some experts. One of my experts that helped me to develop this is a gentleman by the name of Rich Lowry out of Cleveland, Ohio. He is an economist, and he has worked in the business of wealth creation most of his career. I also have a number of other well- recognized economists that helped me to develop this 9-9-9 plan. It didn’t come off a pizza box, no. It was well studied and well developed because it will replace the corporate income tax, the personal income tax, the capital gains tax, the death tax, and most importantly the payroll tax.

MS. TUMULTY: So who are some of these economists?

MR. CAIN: Rich Lowry out of Cleveland, Texas is one of the economists that I have used. He’s been my lead economists on helping to develop this.
............................

We’ve had an outside firm — independent firm —

MR. ROSE: All right.

MR. CAIN: — dynamically score it, and so our numbers will make it revenue neutral

Cain is a charlatan:

WHO ARE THE ECONOMIC ADVISERS?
WHO SCORED HIS 999 SCAM AND LETS SEE THEIR REPORT?

THE REASON HE WILL NOT TELL ANYONE THE NAMES, OR PRODUCE THE INDEPENDENT SCORING IS BECAUSE NONE OF THEM EXIST.

You know nothing about Perry. The border is federal responsibility as you well know. State governor’s can not deport anyone. Perry has teams on the border and has asked numerous times for boots on the ground, aviation and drones. Obama has refused each time. The border is 1200 miles long.
