‘Daddy Bear’ Found, Girl Reconnected With Lost Friend
ABC NEWS ^ | Oct 14, 2011 | Enjoli Francis

For two days, there was one big thing missing from Justice Wadsworth’s bedroom: “Daddy Bear.”

“It makes me feel like cotton candy and I’m cuddling with my dad,” the 6-year-old girl old KOMO-TV in Seattle.

Justice was reunited with her best friend Thursday thanks to social media and two Washington state transportation workers.

When Justice left her Sedro-Woolley, Wash., home last weekend for a trip to Idaho, she took the teddy bear. But when she got sick along Interstate 90 during the return ride, Daddy Bear apparently fell out and was accidentally left by the side of the road.

Within 24 hours, two state employees, Terry Kukes and Harry Nelson, had found the bear while searching the highway.

Dads are suckers for little girls. Years ago, my daughter forgot her favorite bear in hotel when we were checking out one morning. We were five hours down the road before she noticed. I called the hotel, made sure they found it and sent them $$ to make sure they shipped it back on the next UPS truck.

Isn’t it a refreshing change of pace, with all that’s going on in this country and world, to read a simple, sweet story? Props to the highway workers.

Why is it that so precious but most women have a fit if Sons own the mother? That is considered,"mama's boy" and that's bad...yucky pooh.

Which is sexy, a woman wearing nothing but a tee shirt or a man wearing nothing but a tee shirt?

Life's unfair, deal with it...

Believe me, Vigilanteman, you did the right thing! We actually drove BACK to a cousin’s house (four hours away) to retrieve Mr. Bear. My Cousin promised to send it via the mail but we knew our little one wouldn’t sleep without him! We made it an adventure... The Mr. Bear Rescue! Your daughter learned something about her daddy that day... he understood her love for that bear and he made it alright. Good job!!

But so unfair.

I think I look great in a tee shirt. The rest of the world thinks not so much...
