It covers all situations.

If NRA training says that a CCW holder should be walking around with an unloaded gun, and only load it when in the middle of being attacked, then I would strongly dis-recommend NRA training for CCW holders.

I'm not sure where you would have gotten that silly thought.

There are many levels of firearms training.

Each address' the level of training required.

Beginners should start with NRA Certified training

I would recommend training
from an NRA Certified Instructor in

Refuse to be a victim
NRA training for women
Basic pistol
Personal protection in the home
and the newly released
Personal protection outside the home

NRA Gun Safety Rules

Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction

Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot

Always keep the gun unloaded until ready to use

NRA T/C CRSO

Yes, I've taken the various NRA courses years ago, as well as more advanced training.

My confusion here comes from your response to my statement:

I think that admonition relates to not storing guns in a loaded condition, and relates more to the hunting and target-shooting audience more than the CCW audience.
relating to:
Always keep the gun unloaded until ready to use
where you replied "It covers all situations".

Yes or no: Did you intend this to mean "CCW holders should walk around with an unloaded gun"?

Never mind, your #116 ( “When you strap it on, you are Ready to USE” ) answered my question.

I hope the wallet-holster is legal.

Bianchi made a bunch that were declared AOW’s, (Any Other Weapon) which made them legal to own only with a $5 NFA transfer tax and registration.

Goofy, I know...but still, to carry those particular holsters means you are actually committing a felony and can be arrested on the spot.

I dunno. I think that I’ll take the course with my husband, but I don’t really want to carry. Guns are HEAVY and I like to keep my purse as light as possible.

I’m serious about the holster bra. I saw it on Fox & Friends when E.D. Hill was still there. As I remember, it is a holster that fits between the breasts. They also showed an ankle holster that day.

But a nice, neat, tailored purse with zipper access to a gun is appealing.

We’re going to get our permits because we can. I’m not sure we’ll ever carry.

I saw two Walker for Governor yard signs today. The recall will fail!

the holster bra...it is a holster that fits between the breasts.

If that isn't a statement inviting a million smart remarks, I never saw one.

I also have a S&W 642. I think it is a great revolver for concealed carry too. The long trigger pull is also the safety.Practice staging the trigger. You take up all the slack, then you are ready to fire the weapon. Also I installed a reduced spring power kit. It makes the trigger a lot easier to pull. I think MidwayUSA has it. Also a extended grip makes it help with the recoil. I just put a laserlyte on it. It’s my wife’s gun, I have a Taurus tcp .380 with a Clipdraw. I keep one in the chamber. Takes some getting used to. I hope this little bit of info helps, good luck and be safe.
