I saw Waters in concert once. Great show, musically. But ugh, halfway through the show he did a bit where he set up a mike stage on the floor and started taking questions from audience members so he could share his “wisdom” on politics, the environment, etc. Ugh.
And don’t even get me started on the time I saw Fishbone at a bar in Indianapolis and the saxophone player stopped the show for like ten minutes to make time for his “Free Mike Tyson” rant...
The final cut was a waste of the time it took me to listen to it once, and that all Waters, all the time.
I guess Pink Floyd would have been a terribly hard act to follow, even for Pink Floyd.
I love his music. I hate his politics. Same with Leonard Cohen.
Talk about egos. Just because a person can sing doesn’t mean they are wise about politics. They just think they are divine.
