Monday Night Football Gets Black Eye - Hank Willians Jr gets Standing Ovation.

Glenn Beck said on GBTV not to miss the CMA Awards because he promised it would have something that we would love. This is what he was talking about.

Do watch the whole video, because Carrie and Brad poke a little fun at Faith Hill and Tim McGraw that is hillarous

Brad Paisley is really a great ambassador for country music....I saw him do the Tenn flood benefit and he is just a great, easy going down to earth guy....

I dislike the silicon bubbled howood couple hill/mcgraw because of their leftist and hateful politics, so I was glad that they got their noses rubbed a bit...I'm sure they dislike Hank a lot because Hank is a patriot and a conservative....and Hank just GLOWED!

Standing ovation for Hank at the CMA probably shows that 0bama is in dire straits with cowboys. I’m pretty sure that they have a high place in the demographic pool.

CMAs are the best awards show of the year, bar none. In fact, all the country awards shows are great. Good down to earth people that seem to genuinely like each other and appreciate their fans.

Was Carrie there? I only saw Brad and a pair of legs.

Excellent, by the way.

I wish I had remembered it was on. I don’t have a DVR anymore so if I don’t watch it live, I’ll miss it.

And I did.

DH and I watched the entire show.....It Was Awesome!

We particularly loved the opening with Hank and the rest of us sticking our tongues out at MNF and the PC crowd!

The only thing I didn't like was the way Reba looked. Her face is starting to go the way of Dolly Parton.....plastic! Why don't these women realize that they are going to get older and their faces are going to age right along with them. They have become the poster women for NOT having anything done to your face!

Did anyone see the tribute to Glen Campbell? How was it? Was he present?

The tribute was really great. What a trip down memory lane with all his songs. As the camera focused on Glen in the audience a few times, you could see him singing a few words to the different songs.

His wife came up on stage with him at the end and someone had a (his?) guitar ready and handed it to him. He strapped it on, pulled a pick out of his pocket and strummed along at the end of the last song. We couldn't really hear it but he was having a great time. He didn't speak but he was very touched, you could tell.

All in all, it was very touching!
