Dressed in elegant black, her hand in a patriotic pose, Mila Kunis made good on a promise and made one serviceman just back from Afghanistan, the happiest guy at a military gala this past week.

The “Black Swan” star attended a Marine Corps ball Friday night with Sgt. Scott Moore.

“It’s good that she gets to come on a date with a marine so it’s good for her, you know,” said Corporal William Steffy.

FOX411 asked the actress if she knew about the invitation (watch the video below) and Kunis' co-star Justin Timberlake, who was on hand, said he'd made sure it would happen. "Have you seen this? Have you heard about this?" he asked her. "You need to do it for your country!
"I'm going to work on this, man," Timberlake said in a message directed to Sgt. Moore. "This needs to go down!"
Kunis then replied, "I'll go. I'll do it for you," Kunis said, before asking Timberlake if he was going to attend as well.
"They don't want me!" he exclaimed. "They want you."
Kunis then confirmed, "I'll do it."

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter who prodded who into going. That they both accepted the invitations and kept their promises and showed some class, is a good thing IMO.

I should also mention that if I were a female Marine, I’d want Justine to accompany me to the Ball – He’s a hottie : ) ,

That may be the first pic I have ever seen of her that she didn’t look slutty. I hope she will continue this trend.

Even if she went because she was pushed on National TV, perhaps she learned something. Spending time with Marines can be an educational experience.

I am the exact age of the timeframe of “That 70’s Show”. Show was poor in accuracy of our time. From, slang, mannerisms, etc. If you want something realistic, watch the movie Dazed and Confused. Seeing that was like going into a time warp.

Remember the Marine who asked Betty White to the ball? Well, she couldn't go, so Linda Hamilton (Terminator) asked to go in her place.

Count me in also. I’ve never heard of her before this story broke several weeks back. Being uninformed on Hollywood isn’t so bad.

She is an actress. I’ve known a few. She takes ROLES. Someone may not like the roles she takes or the movie she is in but she is acting.

Acting is a very tough business. It is hard to break in to and hard to stay in.

It is her JOB and I expect she was tickled to play any role that pays her rent.

Great that she would do this and not make it in to some kind of political BS ala some dumbass like Jane Fonda. Besides that she is taking a RISK by even showing up. This is a conservative country loving thing to do and I applaud her. I know a good deed when I see one.

She also had a major role in the movie "The Book of Eli". I thought the role they [mis-]cast her in from that movie was laughable, but the movie itself was somewhat interesting.
