As reported, the suicide note contained the request to “take care of the kids”. I’m thinking that this was a guy who thought he was getting away with something all these years, and finally saw himself in a cage. I rank it as a tragedy, not because he couldn’t get his way, but because he couldn’t adjust to the life he had unwittingly chosen.

People want to call a suicide victim a coward. I don’t look at it that way. It seems tome the victim is so entrenched in whatever it is that is haunting him/her that they feel the only way out is to take their life. That’s rpetty sad and telling for me. they feel there is no solution to their problems. I feel sad for them and for their families. Lord Rest his soul as he was lost.

One of the commentors to this story, perhaps on a different news sie than the link, mentioned knowing the man in highschool and that he had battled clinical depression since that time. Sad story all around I say, for the kids, the wife and him...
